No DS... LOL. Sounds like these two characters are in a category of their own.

My parents still talk about the time they went to one and someone brought a toilet seat. And someone else stole it. Wtf?

People who are either:
A.) Cheap
B.) Too lazy to bring a halfway decent gift
C.) Tacky bastards who re-gift

This is kind of the inverse of that. I bought a t shirt from dirty coast (that could be exchanged for one a different size) for the white elephant game a couple of years ago. My cousin's 12 year old son wound up with it and threw a hissy fit. I wanted to tell him to stop acting like a brat, but I restrained myself.

Not worst, but funniest.
Co-worker bought one of those one gallon tubs-o-silicone. It was a "Make your own Dildo" contraption

At our party I make it very clear that the gift should cost around X dollars and it should be something people actually want. Do not bring anything from your closet or from a previous round of White Elephant where the object was to bring crappy re-gifts. Those games can be tons of fun but with our friends we like to play with nice gifts so everyone gets something nice without having to buy for everyone else. We would just draw names but everyone knows certain people bring crap gifts and certain people are hard to buy for. So far people have been good at following the rules but like I said, you have to make them very clear.
The worst is when someone plays as a couple. Such crap, don't be so fricking cheap.

$25 limit
I got stuck with the last gift one year, it was a gift bag. I picked it up and it was leaking. I looked inside and it was a pack of two ribeyes. It was leaking blood and beef juice into the bag

Two years ago at work some dude brought a damn component video cable wrapped into a big shoe box. By far the worst gift I have seen in the 5 years I have participated in such things. What an a-hole

We had two couples do this and one of the couples pulled a number for each of themselves so they got two pulls and didn't mention it until after they had went and they basically got to choose which they wanted

Never heard of those. I thought they might be some nice running shoes. I was mistaken. Yeah, that gift sucked.

I wouldn't mind a TV tray. Brings me back to my childhood.

I got a shoebox full of old CDs from a $25 white elephant a few years ago. Who even buys CDs anymore? She must have been cleaning out her attic for that one.

Our family started doing Chinese Christmas about 15 years ago. 1st year someone brought a jumbo bottle of BOD body spray. every year since then that same bottle of BOD has been brought back.

White elephant parties should be left for groups where you don't know the people very well. We switched from pull names to whit elephant in our family (large family). Buying those gifts was always the hardest thing to do. Plus you'd end up women and men together and some guy would end up with a purse or some shite. We finally just gave up and said were all old enough to forgo presents. We only buy for your god-child or something good special like that.
But the worst was with a group of friends. As a joke someone bought a shake weight and Justin Bieber trading cards. Triggered a whole new game where your white elephant gift must have As Seen On TV on the box. So you went into it knowing you were getting crap, but it was funny.
