Should the saints pursue him. It sounds like he's likable and has not done terrible with the Fins. I would not mind having his new young OC, Zach Taylor as the play caller. Anyone watching this MNF game, Taylor is calling plays like a 06-09 Sean Payton.

I'm team Payton, but if he leaves I'd like to match a defensive coach with Drew

Havent seen any of BB's guys make it as a HC. Would rather stay away from that tree

1. Adam Gase (Bears OC)
2. Darrell Bevell (Seahawks OC)
3. Matt Patricia (Patriots DC)

I would want them in that order. I like Patricia in the sense of he really doesn't have much star power on that Patriots defense but still gets them to show up almost every week it seems.

Fair assessment, but I don't think any one individual is tied to the success or failing of those before them. Patricia just seems like a unique guy. He has a degree in aeronautical engineering. He brought technology to coaching preparation in NE (ask Lester about the story, I can't remember it all) and really changed the way they prepare there, using spreadsheets and stuff. Pretty cool. Plus, their defense is doing really well and I'm really impressed with what they've done with Malcolm Butler up there. There is so much talent in our secondary, and really defense as a whole (lol, I know) that is waiting to be tapped, I think a young powerful defensive mind like Patricia would be perfect.

Innovative and young. Ideal IMO. Don't forget that is how we ended up with the best coach in franchise history.

If Sean were to leave,I wouldn't mind a hard nosed guy like Campbell, he likes physical football without being ultra conservative. Most DCs who become HCs like to ground n pound, and im not sure how many Saint fans would be onboard after watching Drew throw for 4000 yards a season since hes been here.

BB lost to the wildcat led Phins when they were dbl digit favs
SP lost to the Browns and Rams when they sucked

It happens

DC wasn't out there covering Odell tonight.

I'd assume a first year coach has that pesky thing called a contract

I'd rather have Eric Taylor as coach, honestly.

To be fair, I'm not sure prime Deion Sanders could've had much success against Odell as of late.

Going from a top 5 coach to him would be a big downgrade IMO
