Part of what makes Carolina's defense great is that Carolina runs the ball well (which is partially because of Cam) and They don't make many mistakes, forcing teams into longer fields. Carolina's receivers suck mind you. A non mobile threat at QB with these receivers would be a disaster waiting to happen.

I don't think Derek is a good QB and I wasn't trying to say Cam is overrated either. It was more of a statement on how much better the Panthers are right now than the other three.

Fair point. Also, I think the leadership factor goes a long way with his teammates (defense included).
