The latest crop has been a particularly compliant bunch of patsies, put in place because they gave lots of support to Jindal. Some have also been recipients of LED monies or other state funds, so they surely would not rock the boat.

Here are the facts on annual salaries at LSU:
Les Miles $4.7 mil
Cam Cameron $1.5 mil
Joe Alleva 725,000 with incentives to 925,000
K. King Alexander $600,000
Setting aside what this says about our priorities, don't you think this irritates Alexander every time he thinks about it?

Somebody needs to start a petition to get this arseclown removed from LSU. Anybody that would publicly admit to that or even hint at bankruptcy or suspending football season, while you spend $85million on a f**king lazy river is not fit to lead a university.
On top of all you just mentioned, the ashclown F**King Alexander is also currently censured by the LSU Faculty Senate. Does this guy do anything right?

Students funded the REC center. And the lazy river was not $85 million.
This is dumber than what Alexander said

Did the students pay a fee to the university for this facility?
Who decided to collect the fee? Was this a student initiative?

Who fricking cares when the decision was made. They chose to keep Les. I'm satisfied so lets move on. Why keep harping on shite that really doesn't matter. Its a waste of energy.

Actually this goes to show how what King said is similarly ridiculous. You can do this with anything during a period of budget cutting. Ignore the funding track and say its expensive and wasteful.

No, he's typical politician who believes he is so much smarter than the "ordinary" people that they couldn't possibly understand and they need government and bureaucracies to handle it for them.
This is about as absurd as any reason that could possibly be given. It's private money donated specifically for the buyout that will otherwise never pass through LSU's private fund raising arm. Ridiculous...

Donors funded the buyout. It was a shot at Alexander since neither of those would come out state $$$.

This administration is the laughing stock of college athletics, moreover, they won't let it die by giving more inane explanations for their ineptitude.

ONLY in Louisifrickingana.
At this point, we can only hope that Franks flips back, Etling turns out to be another Mettenberger and O stays on the staff.
It's SEC Championship Game or Bust for Lame Duck Les next season. 3 million "Smackers" less on the buyout, which makes it a little more palatable.............

Am I overreacting/being a douche by not really wanting to be an LSU fan next year?

Seriously, there was enough good things that LSU and Miles did this season that they had plenty of reasons to keep Miles. There were more reasons to get rid of him, but still reasons to keep him. Here is how they should have addressed that rumor.
reporter: Why did you keep Miles?
F. King Alexander: Les is a great person and we believe that LSU is closer to the team that went 7-0 than the one that went 1-3.
reporter: What about the rumors of the budget and governor getting involved?
F. King Alexander: As we saw last week there were rumors flying all over the place, and I will not comment on rumors.
If he had done that damage control done, but last spring F. King Alexander made a bad situation worse. Ppl didn't want to believe me because they hated Jindal, but King Alexander is the biggest problem @ LSU. Alleva and Miles may be problem, but they are nowhere near as bad as Alexander.
