Replace bulb in DLP or get a new TV?

What would you guys do? I have a 60" Sony DLP that is 9 or 10 years old. Awesome TV with a great picture, but the bulb just went out for the second time. First bulb cost around $40 to replace and they now cost $75-$80. Would y'all replace it again or start shopping for a new TV?

New TV. Color wheel or something else isn't far behind.

TVs are better and cheaper than 10 years ago.

New TV and it's not even close.

I would just get the bulb. $80 is a small fraction of what you will pay for another 60" TV. If the repair costs get over 20% of a new one, then I would start to consider it.

I had the same TV. Replaced the bulb and months later the whole thing died. Time to let go...

Do those TVs even have HDMI ports?

I've replaced two on my dad's TV. Paid $50 bucks 1st time and did it myself and $20 the second time. Found bulb cheaper on Amazon.

Do they have HDMI? Yeah, it's not a bad TV, 1080p

I tried this with a 10 year old 50 Sony DLP. The new bulb was much brighter but flickered occasionally and stopped working after a month or two. I then bought a new bigger better tv for a third of the price a paid for the old DLP.
