I love Miles, I think it was time for him to go, and I find the bashers inane.

Anybody else in this category?

I think Miles has had a good run, but I just think its time for someone new.

But reading some of the posts from some of the people that I agree with on that point, almost makes me reconsider sometimes. A lot of the arguments just come across as empty sophistry and often as immature and entitled.

Your posts this year have clearly been against Coach.

A lot of people thought they had some sort of influence on the situation as if LSU were some sort of customer service rep who was to bend over backwards to avoid losing the fans' tshirt money. A lot of people also thought that they had inside knowledge on the situation. A lot of people thought they had unique, intelligent opinions regarding the supposed coaching search.

Finding out that all three were completely untrue has been hard for some people to accept, and they are miserable, and their tears make for great lube.

It's my favorite melt ever on this site, and there have been some whoppers.

Agreed on all of your points. I like Miles, but the game seems to have passed him by. The amount of hyperbole being thrown out there is ridiculous. Then I remember that many of the people posting here have hated Miles since day one because he isn't Nick Saban.

I like Miles the person... But for having the highest paid staff, in the most talented recruiting area in the nation he hasn't been able to recapture the success he has in years 1-7. I think the college game doesn't fit his schemes and he has his hand in too much.

I'm not against having Miles as our coach, but I don't think he'll willingly be able to do what it takes to win in this age of the SEC. Will I bitch and moan about him being our coach? No. But I would like to see our players be able to win championships while they are here at LSU. This Senior class will be leaving LSU with zero championships and 1 mid-level bowl win. That just doesn't sit right with me.

A voice of reason, rare on this board.

I was of the opinion early in the season , One more year based on the buy-out, a very young team, young QB and the # 1 recruiting class.

However once the rumors started flying. I said he has to go now, bringing him back makes him a lame duck coach and will kill recruiting. But what the hell do I know.

Maybe any publicity is good publicity. Maybe all the BS the Media was putting out will sway a few new recruits. We will see

I just hope a change isn't made for the sake of change and nothing else.

I had mixed feelings about wanting CLM back or not!!

After this fiasco, I think the AD needs to pack his bags on the way he handled this situation. People state CLM is hard headed, what about his boss?. He doesn't want to speak about CLM until after the season ends... Come on!!!! be serious. When you have a media circus hanging around your program you need to quickly deal with the problem. NO MATTER WHEN ITS HAPPENING!!

I might be the only person on this board who feels CLM deserved another year. He did play lots of FR this year. Injuries hurt us. He needs to allow somebody else to run the offense. Let CLM do what he does best by making gutsy fake FGs and recruit MOM's.

I look forward to next year and hope recruiting isn't affected by this situation.

I agree. It especially bothers me when people take personal shots at him and his family. At least keep the insults within the football realm.
