My vote would be South Carolina. Spoiled by the past 5ish years of Spurrier (42-16 including this year), they look for a home-run hire that can rekindle a streak of 10-win seasons. Unfortunately, the amount of historically big name jobs (esp. now with UGA in the mix) only nets them a good but not great coach.
It'll be us. Smart will go to UGA, Herman waits it out at Houston or takes the Mizzou job, and we're stuck with the first opening but our dicks in our hands because we're run by amateurs. I'd have been happy with Matt Campbell as a back-back-up, but he already packed bags to Iowa State.
Our next coach will be either Shawn Elliott or Rich Bisaccia, cos we'll have to hire someone who actually wants the job.
I think Elliott could be OK longterm, but he'll be unable to hire competent assistant coaches.
The South Carolina football program will continue to abuse its unusually high fan support.

From talking to USC fans they want a big name college coach or an NFL guy. They're worried that USC won't hire someone that doesn't have USC connections. They want a Meyer, Sabah, Chip, or - and I'm not kidding- Miles.

Pat Haden is making the hire, so most likely USC
Some USC fans are completely delusional about the type of coach we'll be able to pull

It's as if some fans gloss over the fact that finding a great coach may be the toughest thing to do in the game of football; it has to be up there with recruiting a great QB.

It really isn't looking good for South Carolina at all.

Yea the Herman to UGA situation immediately picking up traction isn't promising for you guys. Do you think that South Carolina's administration would go after an NFL coordinator? Don't know who would be available but could qualify as a big name

SC if they can't get Smart and Georgia does.

Sorry dude but hiring a guy who just lost to citadel is a total disaster. I'd rather hire a hot young coordinator and see what he's got.

Apparently Rich Bisaccia of the Cowboys really would like to be HC. However, that would be a really disappointing hire. He has been out of the college game for a long time.

Hey chief, I agree.
But we ain't the only dude at the dance, and all the pretty girls are taken. We may have to settle for the fatty with the lisp.

I think Fuente would've done well for South Carolina. Sucks that VT wrapped him up so quickly.

He took the Auburn AHC position under Malzahn a year or two ago, then backed out at the last second to take the Cowboys gig.
He's looking more and more like a quality get.

UGA. They have never been happy since Vince Dooley left.

Missouri, anyone that takes that job is insane.

Mizzou. I don't think any coach worth a damn will accept their offer if they know they can wade it out for another year or two for a similar or better program. No way anyone would be enthusiastic about coaching those entitled pussies. I'm just hoping whoever they do hire starts off their first meeting utilizing cattle prods and tasers to show them that that pussy shite isn't going to fly under his watch.

If USC settles for Helton, I'm going to tear my house apart.

I think "vindication" starts with a 10 win regular season.
We would've had a 10 win regular season if the Mcneese game weren't canceled
Miles needs to atleast be in a Major bowl to quell the boosters/fans
