are you trying to tell us Joe Alleva was just blown away by our first half performance?

No, by the reaction of the fan base..

Got a source on that?

You people are still pretending that you know anything. You don't.

whatever dude. I have family and friends that are far more in touch than you that basically said les was keeping his job if jimbo said no. this has nothing to do with alleva's butthole puckering and everything to do with jimbo staying put. but sure, alleva had a legacy hire in place and pussed out. riiighhtt.

I could give 2 fricks who your family and friends are, I have no reason to fricking troll you bastards, Hank Anderson was putting up 10 mill of LM's buyout, my source has a little something to do with Hanks monetary affairs..I've never claimed to know anything other than the buyout and that the boosters weren't happy with JA after tonight..the rest was my opinion.

ESPN radio just said that he backed out because he was afraid it would look bad that the boosters would pay this and that the state would turn down any money requests and tell LSU to ask the boosters for money.

ESPN is usually full of shite, but if this is true, Alleva is the biggest pussy in the world of college football.

I'm laughing pretty heartily at this. Some windbag(s) who give a lot of money thought they were going to call up the AD and the board and hire and fire the head coach.

Anyone who didn't believe they had this power were called naive or uninformed. I hope a lot of people feel really stupid right now, because they deserve to.

Or a job-ending hire. It's much more likely to hire someone who does worse than Miles than it is to hire someone who does better.

The football program has taken a huge hit over the last 2 weeks and nothing has changed. We still have Miles! It is an embarrassment

Take this for what it's worth, but that scene post game with the players hoisting Miles off the field and then him telling the ESPN reporter to wait until he sang the alma mater was probably pretty fricking awesome for recruiting.

You must be a youngster. Its been that way since I can remember, Dietzel, except when Emmert was here.

Yes. It was so awesome until you realize that every coach in America is going to ask recriuts "why would you want to go play for LSU? They did everything imaginable to fire their coach this season and will likely do so next season as well."

The complete ineptness of the AD and "influential boosters" have turned this thing into a mess. Miles now has to re-recriut much of his coaching staff along with just about every player currently committed to LSU before he can even think about going after "new" prospects.

They are going to have to hire a coach in waiting to save recruiting. Every coach in the south will be using this against us if we don't....

so alleva backed out on an offer because of our first half performance. yeah, no reason to question that
Correct, because it jibes exactly with information being reported elsewhere.
