Pay it forward - Am I an A$$hole

I went to Raising Canes just to get an order of fries and a Canes sauce. The total was like $2.19. I went to the window and the young girl told me the lady in front of me paid for my order. I looked at her with a shocked, weirded out look on my face like do I thank you because the lady has driven off. She was looking at me like she wanted me to keep it going so I told her I would pay for the order behind me. I handed her my card and she say the total for the order behind me is $20.49 or something. I looked at her like WTF. We then stared at each other awkwardly for a minute until she said you dont have to pay for their order. I asked her was everyone else "paying it forward". She said no, the lady that paid for mine was the first.
frick that. I'm not paying 10 times my meal price just be nice. Thank you to the lady that paid for my fries. Someone always get fricked in these deals.
