I agree with Moscona last night.

On 870 with the TBob show, he said that he felt Alleva before the last 2 games sent a message to the agents stating that Les could very well be coaching for his job the last 2 games and that the outcome was irrelevant of the 2.
My personal feeling with all of this. I think a plan was in place to replace Miles after Chavis left. What threw me was the Kevin Steele hiring.
I don't care what anyone says on here, Alleva and the higher ups are going to do what is best for the University and as a Tiger fan since 1970, we need to support that University with its decision and accept it whatever the outcome may be.
As for Les. If he is gone. So be it. I've enjoyed the ride, the quirkiness attitude, the fire(hasn't been there lately), the passion(hasn't been there lately), but most of all your commitment to coaching these kids. He has always been a players coach and does things HIS way. Well guess what. YOUR WAY isn't working cause I am sick and tired of having THAT game or THAT call or THAT penalty or THAT stubbornness in your play calling and NO adjustments I mean NONE. And it's been going on for a LONG LONG time. I won't even say what I want to say about the NC game vs BAMA other than YOU PLAY FOR A PRIZE and YOU WERE FRICKING being labeled as quite possibly THE BEST college football team ever and that's how you go out THAT year. Nicely done and wonderful adjusting and trying to alter things up.
Simply put. Les you are not THAT guy anymore. Moving on.
Forever LSU and GEAUX TIGERS.

I agree with the sentiment.
College football is a big business. Joe Alleva wants to wring every last dollar out of your wallet he can.
The pumpers are crying about: "treat Les with dignity and respect!" as if anyone is going to go egg his house.
Bottom line: while we're thankful for 11 years of a lot of good memories, Les isn't getting it done anymore. He is no longer a successful coach in the SEC.
It's time to move on.

Thanks for getting that out.
I think what your therapist meant was journaling and to NOT "send" the message. Normally that's a medically good way of dealing with your feelings. But either way; way to express yourself.
We all know it's time to move on from Miles; but why are you trying to continuously hold this man over the fire?

A plan was in place before Chavis left, which is why he wanted a bigger buyout and why Aleva said no. It wasn't a matter of if, only when.
When Miles bent Aleva over backwards in 2012 after "flirting" with Arkansas after the shite show against Bama in the Dome, it began his unraveling.

yep
Yeah, on 247 I read that the Alabama loss because it was so bad, is when the decision was made to cut ties with Miles.
I tend to believe it
in fact it was suggested that Alleva didn't expect all the media noise so fast...but it's due to the bad losses and fans creating all the noise.
interesting to speculate if we won those games that Alleva would have fired a 1 loss coach?
I think all these situations are fluid...
bottom line, Alleva made phone calls to certain Agents after the Bama loss...that I believe 100%

I hope there is a very good coach for this program that has the chest to take over a program that fires it's coach with the best winning percentage of any other coach had at this university.
My comment above is not to undermine a new hire. It just points out the ironic way things work when you are all over the map in the last 11 years of an up and down coaching career.

Agree with poster above and it is all dollars and cents. Someone in the Arthletic Dept. has a spreadsheet and knows the break even point of buying out Les's contract and the possibility of say 10% of season ticket holders not renewing. We have obviously hit the point where Les is cheaper to fire than keep.
With a new coach, we fill the stadium next year and keep the revenue rolling.

Have an upvote. You understand the situation and when it's time to cut ties and move on.

Still don't understand the 2012 extension then for miles? Why do that if you want him gone?

His agent is George bass. I would have told les to walk. Bet he would have just gone back to his office and got back to work.
