Don't be surprised if it's Briles, not Fisher.

I have no connections, no inside scoop, and no insight that any of you don't already have. But if the midnight threads and external rumors are true, they may be pointing to Briles.
The new coach is supposed to be his own OC, have a potent offense, and is known for developing quarterbacks. While that could be referring to Jimbo, it sounds like it fits Briles more, even though his son is "calling" plays at Baylor. Baylor is playing with their 3rd string and haven't missed a beat.
The new coach's DC supposedly has ties to Louisiana. While FSU's DC coached at Nicholls from 2002 to 2005, Baylor's DC was at LSU from '91-'94.
Other sites have posters with supposed inside information at Baylor saying that Briles is the target, just like we hear from "insiders" suggesting its Jimbo. "L5U to make a run at Art Briles (per my Waco/Baylor source)".
Wouldn't it be a clever distraction to let Fisher's name "leak" so that all our attention is focused on FSU, all the while a deal with Briles gets worked on without the scrutiny of prying eyes.

Briles is 60 years old. No

If so, there goes our defense. This year's defense will make anything under Briles look live the 85 Bears

So if he gives us a great 8 run, it'd be worth it

Big-12 offense won't work in the SEC, see A&M

If it's Briles, Alleva should be lynched.

I think Briles will not leave baylor

That bullshite offense will be eaten alive by SEC defenses.

That guy ain't leaving the state of Texas. He probably would have left to go to UT, but that ship has sailed. He will retire at Baylor

I don't believe this at all. But I think Briles is entrenched where he is.

Phil Bennet was a good dc, but left, pissed off when Dinardo got the job.

What do all of these schools have in common?
1979 Sundown (TX) HS (assistant)
1980–1983 Sweetwater (TX) HS (assistant)
1984–1985 Hamlin (TX) HS
1986–1987 Georgetown (TX) HS
1988–1999 Stephenville (TX) HS
2000–2002 Texas Tech (RB)
2003–2007 Houston
2008–present Baylor
So he coaches 40 years at in one state and bails at 60? Not happening. This is a stupid thread.
