I have a 7 and 8 year old that shoot a Browning micro 6.5 Creed. Over the last two seasons combined they have shot at 6 deer and hit 5. 3 never took another step and the other 2 went about 50 yards despite shot placement that was not ideal. All shots 100yds plus. The kids are not scared of the recoil and make a better shot. The round has done its job and then some. You couldn't buy my 6.5 from me. Yes there are "better" rounds, but not for kids.
BTW - I bought a Winchester 7MM-08 at the same time and had it cut to fit the kids. The recoil is much more noticeable and the kids didn't want to shoot it after one afternoon at the range with 6.5.

Arden Key. We have every piece on D but an elite pass rusher.
Guice and Fournette had plenty of opportunities to pound away at them. Cant beat these guys on the ground. This offense is plenty good enough to get them off balance and beat em over the top.

This is from NCAFF page at ESPN. Looks like a retread video to me. A sign of how far this matchup has fallen in their eyes.
I LOVE this set up. TIGERS are huge dogs, and nobody is paying much attention. They going to remind everyone what they are made of Saturday!
EDIT - They just fixed it....

Jackson is the only one who is upping his stock so far this year. Guice is 12th in yds in the SEC. Does he really excite you any more? No explosion like last year. Longest run is 25yds. I saw holes yesterday that he would have taken yard last year. Key may go but he isn't doing himself any favors. I doubt either is top 15 at this point. Both have a platform to get there given the film from last year but they need a big game vs Bama and a strong finish.

VERY lucky to have him. Thanks DW!!!!!

The playoff committee just showed you how much they want the real blue bloods in there. If I was a PSU fan I'd be hacked. This was the perfect scenario for two teams from one conference to get in and nope...We NEED to play and beat Bama or we have no shot. That said I'm ready to see a rotating schedule just because I think it's more fair for all involved.

I agree. And that is where it gets really dicey for Sankey keeping his job unless he is able to get game played.
And that game isn't going to happen on 11/19 in G'ville.

I wonder at what point over the weekend he realized this deal probably costs him his job? Every one of us makes mistakes, but they usually don't affect the entire college football landscape.
This has been discussed ad nauseum, but anybody who thinks LSU is going to give up a home game isn't understanding of what that involves. The boosters who make $$$ on those weekends will never stand for it.
The SEC is going to have to fix this with $$$. Lots of it...They are going to have to play this game on 12/4 and there is no telling what it will cost them to get that done. If I'm Sankey, I'm considering telling everyone we are tabling this until 11/6. Hope LSU loses to Olemiss or Bama and UT losses to both Bama and USC (by some miracle) and UF beats ARK. I'm praying every morning and night to thread the needle so the game won't matter. If all of that doesn't happen - look out. The bill is coming due and his buddy Foley will be nowhere to be found.
I actually feel bad for the guy and try to learn from things like this. You work you're whole life to be in a position to make a decision like that and in the heat of the moment with a potential natural disaster oncoming, you just drop the ball. The proper plan B should have been in place early in the week but it wasn't.
Bottom line is I want to see LSU play UF. I believe LSU was in a really good spot and think we would have beat them by a TD or more. Who knows how this ends up, but karma can be a...

And if UT couldn't hire him away from Baylor, he ain't leaving.

2001 Florida. Spurrier really had them ready. Never forget the crowd staying with it and the Fla players taunting back. We got beat by 30 but it was worse than that...
You have to remember that this committee is using the eye test and we failed miserably Saturday. The only way we get in is with a dominant run from here and a lot of luck. Are we one of the four best teams? Probably so. We have to LOOK like we deserve it though.
And don't discount Bama getting in over SEC champ LSU. The committee gave them a pass for losing to Ole Miss. No reason to believe they wouldn't do it again.
Time to call the Hogs and get even. Let's see if this team rolls over or comes out fighting?

Another vote for Dominick Davis vs Illinois. This was the first thing that came to mind
Illinois had no answer for #31 that day. The Dome was rocking!

First, I agree we need to worry about winning and let the rest take care of itself.
BUT, Something stinks here....
Teams 5-10 had "better losses" than Ole Miss. I.E. they lost to higher ranked teams that only had one loss. Ole Miss lost to a 2 loss team that most people do not think is that good.
Archie Who?

re: Biggest Game is Miles Career?
Posted by 7 on 11/4/13 at 4:19 pm to Topwater Trout
IMO, no. His biggest regular season game was Bama 2010. Coming off 2 bad seasons where we beat none of the big boys, we had just lost to SCam and Auburn and should have lost to a bad UT team. Feeling was about like this game. We have no shot and Les can't win the big one, etc. We go win that one and stay in the hunt for 2010. We showed we were in the elite again. I really believe that win was a fork in the road win and set us up for the 2011 run.
If he loses this one, oh well we are already just spoilers. Just feel like Met's talent (which we have waited for for SO long) will be wasted without a signature win like this...

re: Tomorrow's game defines Miles...

What defines Miles:
1) Including 2007 - 6 wins and 7 losses vs. group AU, UM, Bama and Ark. :spank:
2) Hasn't beaten a team ranked higher than his since GT in the 08' Peach. Before that OSU in the NC game.
We only win the ones we are supposed to. The fact that we are almost always close in big game defeats has kept him around this long.
All this said, I do believe tomorrow is an inflection point for Miles - win it and he keeps his job. period. Lose it and the door creeps open.

One question. Name the last big SEC victory over a team ranked higher than us at the time? Better yet just name the last real quality SEC victory like this one could have been? Or Bama could be? A game that could get us back into contention.
It won't happen because Les only wins the ones he has the opponent totally outclassed in. Saturday the talent level was at least equal. How many times are we going to watch Top Gun and hope Goose doesn't die?
Yes it is slipping. We don't win the ones we absolutley have to. We didn't even do that in 2007. Ark. should have sunk us. We are becoming an also ran in the West, much less the on a national level.
We have lost 6 of the last 9 against the group we are getting ready to play - our home stretch - Bama, UM, Ark. My guess is we stay with that 33% winning percentage this year. That puts us at 5-3 and we all know it could have just as easily been 3-5.
