Inevitable decision

We're 1-10. We finished last year at 45-37 with the tie breaker for the 8th seed. Do we go all in and try to finish 44-27? The next 20 games will define us. Too bad 90% of them are games we're probably not favored in. I'd hate to see this team rally and end up 9th in the west only to get a shot draft pick and not make the post season. Come New Years we will either be running for the playoffs or getting ready to place all of our injured players in a hyperbolic chamber while the rest of them man a tank untill July.

CLE
BOS
that gets them thru 1st wk DEC, when reke should be back. how many wins do you see there?
the team, as available now is not good enough to win any NBA games unless the other team shits the bed (DAL). 2-19? 3- 18?
thats too big of a hole in the west. shite HOU fired mchale and they are 4-7! if the pels were 4-7 we'd be saying hang in there, the calvary's coming...
pels will be a real NBA team at some point, but the season is likely lost. i have no idea what they will do, once that becomes reality

I mean optimistically we steal one and win Boston and Phoenix at home but I doubt that.

It depends when we get Healthy. I hope Reke comes back before 10 games are up. Jimmer was only supposed to be here 2 weeks.

i see PHX at home and MEM at home as the only realistic possibilities...BOS is playing out of their minds
2 wins out that 10 would be a miracle the way that this team is playig even with who they have available. and i'm not even that frustrated looking at who they are running out there
what i am fruistrated about is ajinca/asik...they are both negatives on the floor right now and showing very little that would indicate they'll be better
this is a perfect storm of a nightmare

Hopefully health turns everything around, but if it doesn't, is JVG the replacement for both Demps and Gentry? Is there anyway Demps and Gentry can both throw in the towel on the season (cashing out Ryno and Gordon for picks) and keep their jobs? I'm not saying I want them to keep their jobs if this shite show continues, just that firing them before the deadline is better than after the deadline if you're going to fire them anyway. Teams fighting for the playoffs always are desperate and we have 2 expiring assets in Gordon and Ryno that should be desirable to that type of team so whoever is in charge needs to be free to make those moves.

injuries will save both jobs
very difficult days for both upcoming though when it becomes clear that the math doesn't work for a successful season
id wager they try to move Anderson and let Gordon expire

I think we can all agree though that the only move that has worked since 2012 is drafting Davis. Every other major move has been a disaster exacerbated by injuries but a disaster nonetheless

Reke signing was solid. Smaller moves Dell has made were solid. That's all I got.

On it's own trading Tyreke for Vasquez is a win, but I think it becomes a loss when you factor in the collateral damage required to get him
Tyreke, Asik and Withey in
Vasquez, Rolo, Morrow, 2015 1st, out

reke cost Vasquez and Lopez though
both would have been useful in 12/13 season without opportunity cost
and I love Tyreke but he was expensive in terms of assets with only a 1st rnd sweep to show for it thus far
edit see ATL post above
tyrekes ripple effect was huge

Exactly, the Reke move was not good. Reke is a good player, but we spent too many chips to get him. It's also resulted in a big increase in cost.

And that's the luckiest, easiest move a GM could ever ask for.

Getting ryno for really nothing was solid

Still was a good move though

yes it was in a vacuum
in hindsight though they probably should have moved him by now
he's been hurt and he cannot defend his position without Davis on the floor
8MM for a backup PF who can't defend, on this team, hasn't really been a home run
every move outside of Davis has been short of the warning track and that is coming home to roost

He had a rough year no doubt but he certainly looks much better.
He'd easily get 10 mil on the open market imho.
