Come on Man Be Real plus 17 Million buy out

So your bar of success is measured by LSU's history? Regardless of championships and top 10 finishes, and NFL draft picks etc.?

You seem to not have higher hopes. You should probably become a fan of Ole Miss or Arkansas.

The losses too Bama and Arky are pissing me off though.

You clearly don't understand the entirety of the situation. If you were to ask those people in power who are moving to maybe firing Les why they are thinking about it, do you think their only reason is the last two losses? You think they have NO other reasons to consider before firing him? In other words, were there no negatives before the last two losses?

Miami has a good recruiting class right now I believe and they just fired their coach
just saying the current recruiting class coming in doesn't matter
it's what you do on the field
we are playing with like 3 top ten recruiting classes right now some which were in top 5
and it's still not enough

Yes...sometimes its just not about wins and loses but about the current state of the program and direction it is heading...many bring up Texas and Tennessee as examples but if I recall both programs began to decline while Brown and Fulmer were still present; school waited to long to replace them and now look where their programs are ...So should LSU wait and see if things change or should LSU make the change...losing to bama 5 in a row is not helping...6-2...5-3...4-4...is not helpling...having highly ranked recruiting classes and losing is not helping...so are you going to be proactive or reactive

LSU IS entitled to win titles. They have the recruiting, the facilities, and the fanbase to support a team that does so.

has any coach ever been fired while having the no.1 recruiting class in America. why are players lining up to play for miles if he is such a terrible coach.

The assistants are doing a FINE job of recruiting. Look at the NFL opportunities from LSU.

the potential to lose nola ( most nola high school coaches have no ties to LSU) is concerning. the reason LSU was not scuccessful 15-25 years ago was because we couldn't CONTROL NOLA.

You can still retain the recruiters/coaches we have on staff...its happened. If LSU hires a good coach, you'll see the local talent stay. Its not that hard.

I would fire a coach that goes on a long championship drought, cause that's what we're after, right?

Look, I can jump pretty high for a white guy, but I just can't seem to dunk. Maybe if I put in tons of time and effort, I could get there, but if someone was paying me to actually dunk the ball, and I never got to that point in years, don't you think they'd fire me? Or would they say, "well he can't dunk, but he gets pretty high, and we'll take that."

WE PAY COACHES TO WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS. NOT TO HAVE A DECENT RECORD.

I think Les is a wonderful person and has done great things at LSU. I hope that he and the powers that be can find a way to ease him out with grace and dignity, but it needs to happen. Changes around him have not resulted in long term improvement because he runs the show.

This is still about entertainment and the product on the field has been anything but entertaining of late. Playing old school football is boring to newer fans, even in a win. Playing old school football and getting your arse handed to you is boring to everyone, including potential recruits. How long can Les expect to recruit exciting skill position players when the foundation around them isn't conducive to success?

I was in the stands for the shite show of the 80s and certainly don't want to go back to that, but I have no confidence that keeping Les at the helm will lead to anything other than a steady decline.

fire miles and I guarantee you that its strengthens saban's hand in la. with all the contacts he has and his winning program. if that happens, we won't beat bama until saban retires. so a new coach is not necessarily helpful in beating bama.

No offense, but you can't guarantee anything, especially without knowing who the replacement would be or when in the recruiting cycle it would occur. With the right timing, a "name" hiring with retention of key members of the existing staff "could" retain most if not all of the committed talent and or bring a few with him.

There is nothing about the current state of the program that says we beat Saban before he retires anyway. Maybe we could at least compete with Arkansas in the interim.

Are you kidding me? We went 4-4 in the SEC last year and lost in the Music City Bowl. Your statement makes it seem as though we are upset bc we didn't win the NC. Hell, we did t even make it to our own conference championship game.

So you wouldn't cut a tumor off after years of healthy just because you've been healthy before?

No. Things change and you adapt

YES. It is in reverse. Time to go forward and Miles will not get that done.

Miles we be much happier if he was let go. He has millions and he can coach elsewhere. The fire and passion are all gone here. Losing to Ark 2 and 3 star recuits by 17 two years in a row. About to get blown out to ole miss. Please let him go.

Would you fire a coach that hasnt been competitive in his division since 2011 with arguably the top 5 talent in the country?

We're 36-13 since 2011 (19-11 SEC). That's the second most total wins and second most conference wins of any team in the SEC during that time. That's pretty competitive, I'd say.

And these are Miles's "worst" years!

It's time to make a change. Let's face it CLM will not do what it takes to adjust. Meyer,Briles,Patterson,Stoops, and now Saban changed things to win. Good lord people when you line up 10 in the box and your coaching staff can't figure out how to counter that.. Hmm hmm TELL COACH BUH "ITS BEEN NICE" BYE

You do understand that Les Miles will not be at LSU for all eternity, right?

At some point, of his own accord or not, he's going to be gone. And whoever we get then will be every bit as much of a crapshoot.
