I would never go just from reading about it and how it was created(but know that's sort of ignorant as I do head south occasionally for vacations lol)

What did that one night set you back?

Roughly $1,600. However, all meals were included and they were amazing. Also, two activities were included. We took the desert sunset camel ride that ended with champagne and food. The other activity was a falconry exhibition which was really cool.

Can't wait to see a jet pack being operated around the updraft created by a large fire.

30 minute flight time and able to carry a payload of 120 kg (265 lbs).

I wonder how much 2700 feet of fire hose weighs.

Sorry, I was out of town.

Keith Brown, a council youth development officer, was travelling through the United Arab Emirates on his way back to England when he was stopped as he walked through Dubai's main airport.
A search by customs officials uncovered a speck of cannabis weighing just 0.003g - so small it would be invisible to the naked eye and weighing less than a grain of sugar - on the tread of one of his shoes.

One man has even been jailed for possession of three poppy seeds left over from a bread roll he ate at Heathrow Airport. Painkiller codeine is also banned.

quote:

Customs officers found 0.003 grams (0.0001 ounces) of cannabis in a cigarette stub stuck on the sole of one his shoes.

The UAE – a popular destination for British tourists – imposes tough penalties for all drug-related offences.

Four years is the usual sentence for possession while trafficking is punishable by death.

It was four years, the 37 years was for a trafficker. Still four years for .0003 grams is insane.

's safe but what's there to do? I like the food and the skyline is amazing. The souk is the only thing worth doing. Not my kind of vacation.

You can drive a formula 1 car. That sounds like it has potential.

That pic looks cartoonish and I see this ending in a Wile E. Coyote type tragedy.

I would love to take a vacation to Dubai. The place looks amazing on Google Earth. How safe is it over there for Americans?

Super safe. You can open carry alcohol on the street, curse like a sailor, and make out with women in public all day long. Its Bourbon Street meets Las Vegas with a tiny bit of Riyadh mixed in.
