6/19 translates into 16-50 which gets us beat worse. we don't throw because we can't. harris is part of the problem not the solution. he has a lot of upside but has not done much more than throw ball up deep and let athletes go get it.

This guy has actually watched the games this season. While Harris has thrown some amazing deep balls, jump balls thrown down field and late passes behind the receiver have been more common. To add to this we also don't have the defensive depth to take those chances. Henry showed that this past weekend when he ran as he pleased in the second half.

Yeah, let's take the ball out of our best players hands. Smart move??
Teams that can run win most of the time. Teams that throw 50 times usually lose.

LSU needed a quick strike offense to get the ball out of harris' hands and neutralize the defense...causing them to back off.
however les/cam had no answer and alabama kept coming

What few plays they did call Harris couldn't hit the receiver at 5-10 yards. He's struggled with this all year and thats the reason we throw deep the majority of the time. They are trying to avoid turnovers by playing to his throwing strengths and running the ball with the best back in the country.

Clearly not. He was 6 of 19! Extrapolating, he would have been 10 of 30 with probably two interceptions. He's only in his second year.
The 2014 season was ruined by poor dline recruiting in 2011, as well as poor QB recruiting. The 2015 season is being ruined by poor recruiting of QBs and DL in 2011/12. The 2016 season is in jeapordy from poor LB recruiting in 2013/14.
Our problem is recruiting - not the overall talent level, but the just-in-time strategy.

There were more pass plays called than run plays. Bamas offense worked us and dominated top. LSU couldn't do anything, no matter what they tried. People saying we just lined up in the I and ran it don't watch the games.

No, he isn't. He missed easy throws, made bad reads, and held on to the ball too long when we did throw.

But 30/50 would be beautiful.

Don't be a smart arse, I do know football and have worked with Coaches and coached for 20 years so carry your edited stupidness somewhere else kid.
I wish my coaches would've made stupid, aimless arguments over message boards. Only real role models do that.

Perhaps you didn't notice but he was 6/19. Some would say that looks pretty bad.
This quick strike offense you ambiguously suggest as a panacea, would that include short passes to Fournette or Moreau?
Harris has talent, but he is young, inexperienced, and he was off against Bama.

no doubt.
saban doesn't have any respect for harris throwing the ball.

I love Miles, but there's too much "run blocker" in him.
When we spread the field against Florida and Harris was in shot gun, i had a moment...it was a good moment! Thinking it was a glimpse of what was to come against Bama.
Is it stubbornness, pride, what is it that keeps a coach from changing a bad system/scheme when needed? Are there other coaches behind the scene in his ear.
Saban knows him too well and Bileima will try the same thing. (Won't work this year), but he will try.
Harris is too good to throw less than 30 times a game.
We last touched the ball with 9:18 left in the game. Probably enough time for 2-3 possessions. Being down 2 scores, had we been able to stop them and get the ball back, Brandon probably would have thrown 30 times, IMO.
Assuming of course we didn't go three and out each possession.

We do not have a quarterback for this level of football.

That Int after the half pretty much changed the game. We needed 7 badly on that series and instead game them 7. We lost the game right there.

That wasn't suggested.
When Leach was at Texas Tech, he was asked "why don't you run a more balanced offense"? He said, "it is very balanced, we throw the ball to 8 receivers, 2 tight ends, and 4 running backs. That's very balanced"!
I'm not suggesting 50 times every game...I was suggesting it against the Crimson Curtain in Tuscaloosa.
