I friend of mine recommend that I try to bring that back on the Score here in Baton Rouge. I just don't know how it would be receieved. I certainly don't want to butcher something that is so fondly remembered.

Bring it back. I used to love it as well. I think ya'll can do it on 1210...just be creative and have fun with it. It would probably be fun with Condon asking the questions.

I don't have anything to do with Richards show. If he wanted to do that then it's his call. I could recommend it for our show. I just don't know if it would be well received.

I also remember those Tiger Tracks in the early/mid 80's.

IMO, they were best as pre-game skits which were related to a specific upcoming football game, and played just a few days before the game or sameday before kick-off. Funny stuff....

Yes. Fond memories indeed. Randy Rice and Jim Nasium on WFMF. Good times. I was in high school/college back then and WFMF was the cool station in those days.

Man,that station's ratings in the early 80's were just amazing.

What was their sister AM station ? Simar ('Naze')was always real calm and collected doing the sports on that one.

Must have been WJBO. They did all the LSU game broadcasts back then and Seymour (Nasium) did sports reporting for them as himself and was the jim nasium character on WFMF.

I remember her . She did 'sound nice'. There was some gal "Julie" something to.

I had a friend at LSU at the time who was a weekend DJ at WYNK. He sat with us at the 1982 'Oranges' Florida State game and got really bombed. But,he had to go on air that night and left right after halftime.

We got back in the car and turned him on after the game and he was smashed ,slurring his word ,yukking it up for LSU and kept repeating the wrong score.

I remember the 1982 "flying oranges Florida State" game.

Random memory from that "flying oranges" game: I saw one of the female cheerleaders get nailed in the crotch with an orange while standing on shoulders of another cheerleader....(she was not hurt and kissed the orange, so it was pretty funny at the time and with our happy Tiger state of mind..)

Man,those were the orginal H-shaped goal posts.A couple of poor jokers were on top of those just getting pelted with oranges and bleeding everywhere. Those goal posts weren't going anywhere without a bulldozer.

I remember the ones from the 80's with Jim/GYM, and they were great, but Big D and Bubba started them again with 100.7 in 1997, and the best one I have heard in a long time was the one they did the week before the Florida game....it gave me goose bumbs..... not so much since then with whoever does them

"Garry James, what are you planning on doing when you get the ball tonight against Ole Miss?"

"Sail on down the liiiiine...bout a half a mile or soooooo......"

Wish we could bring that back..

Yall are bringing up some long forgotten memories.
Everyone listened to that and we would all talk about it and try to create our own questions and song answers. I seem to remember they would also ask the opposing coach a question and then have a hilarious music response. Great radio, great memories from Woodlawn days and into college.
