Let's say his team is down big similarly to how the Colts were in the game Monday night. Could Cam bring them back? I don't see it.
Can't believe you're about to make me defend Cam, but he did just that against Seattle, at Seattle.

It's the strength of their team because their only legit receiving threat is Greg Olsen.
Personally, I don't see the Panthers being able to keep this up. The running game is steady but it is by no means explosive like STL's.
Stewart is playing well but I don't see him being strong down the stretch. At this pace he's going to finish the season with a lot of carries, ASSUMING he even stays healthy on the back end of the season.
Unless Cam just goes nuts carrying the ball and making big plays on his own I honestly see Carolina burning out quickly.
That's just my take. Maybe I'm wrong.

It's a black thing that he gets that attention.
If he were white, this would be a non issue or a complete joke.

They were down by 6 in the 4th. Defense got stops on Seattle, who has really struggled offensively. They also have had a tendency to collapse in games this year for whatever reason.
That game winning drive was impressive, but it wasn't some huge comeback or a shootout type of game.

This thread is ridiculous. Cam has absolutely no receivers at all. Ive seen Ted Ginn drop a few wide open passes this season already that would have gone for touchdowns. He moves the ball and controls the clock. He does whats needed to win games.

Just google "Cam Newton MVP".
Lots of people and media outlets have him as a legit MVP contender.

7-0 as a starting QB this year, so no.

Cam is a winner stop hating on him it's ridiculous. I'm not even a panthers fan.

Floor is yours Cam lovers, let's hear it. Give me legitimate reasons why I should believe he is an MVP candidate, and why he will be the 2nd best QB in the NFC over the next 3-5 year
Why is that someone always has to accuse people with whom you disagree as being "lovers" or whatever nonsense, it undermines your argument as it makes it seem like you are just an irrational hater.
As to him being an MVP candidate, he is the QB on a 7-0 team that really doesn't have any other stars, not saying he will or should win, but if you don't see why he at least gets mentioned, then i don't know what to tell you.
As far as him being 2nd best to Rodgers over the next few year in the NFC, i never really thought about it, but that could just be by default. Looking around the NFC, you have older guys that will be gone by then most likly (Brees, Romo, Palmer, Eli?) and some young up comers like Winston and Bridgewater, the only other youngish guys still with some of their prime left besides Newton are Ryan and Stafford and then a bunch of garbage.

Also, the OP completely plays down Cam Newton's supporting cast and his running ability. Cam Newton's running ability opens up things for Jonathan Stewart. His passing game revolves around one player, Greg Olsen. Teddy Ginn Jr and Philly Brown would both be WR4s somewhere else. Tedd Ginn has not only dropped passes that would've been touchdowns, but he's also dropped passes that ended up being intercepted.
It's much more than just stats with this. Carolina is 7-0 thanks to Cam Newton and the defense.

NFC South: Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers' franchise quarterback is listed here not because of his numbers but because he's found a way to guide his team to a 7-0 start despite a supporting cast that includes only one Pro Bowl-caliber playmaker (tight end Greg Olsen) on the perimeter. Yes, the defense has also played a major role in Carolina's ascension to the ranks of the elite, but Newton's maturation has keyed the Panthers' dominance in the NFC South.
NFL.com's NFC South's MVP to date.

This. No way that team should be 6-1 right now

Cam literally has the same stats this year as Kaepernick and people still white night for him? Dude he sucks, without Carolinas defense they have 3 wins right now.

Laugh now but wait a few years until your defense isn't as good and the Panthers will be what Seattle is this year. Except probably worse because Russell Wilson is better than Cam.
