Say what you want about the BCS and it had its share of problems, but at least when a team got screwed they knew how it happened.
It is pretty similar actually. The computers can be predicted but the voters in the BCS could be just as inconsistent and inscrutable.

quote:Why not shame Ohio State similarly? Their schedule isn't a whole lot better. Why do they get in right now and Michigan State doesn't?
Baylor's SOS is in the 100's.

Because the committee will say they won't factor in last year but of course they will.

Let's talk about what is really important...Bama bias. Alabama loses to Ole Miss a team that Florida stomps. Florida loses a close one to #2 LSU. Yet somehow Alabama deserves #4 while Florida gets #10. Use to think it was SEC bias, but it's really just fricking Alabama bias.

quote:yeah I agree on paper I don't see much difference between Florida and Bama at all. It looks alot like they're seeing that Bama is a 7 pt favorite over LSU this week and they are already factoring that in. There are major inconsistencies.

It looks like they went off potential for some teams, on field performance for some, and past resume for others.

My guess is them and TCU are being punished for their near losses on fluke plays
So they get penalized for near losses but the committee looks the other way when it comes to Bama's ACTUAL loss.
Makes sense.

quote:Yeah they picked where they wanted to rank the teams and built their criteria around that, sometimes different for every team. "SOS is super important lets piss all over Baylor". It would have taken balls to do that to Ohio State. Don't act like you're making some completely objective ranking system and then rank Iowa 6 spots below Ohio State.

I'd like for them to explain why Notre Dame is ranked #5 after a losing to Clemson. While UF is ranked #10 after losing to LSU. The same UF team that blew the doors off of Ole Miss.

There was a lot more of them and we had records of exactly how they were voting.

@RJinVegas: Vegas says TCU best team left out of Top Four ... would be favored over both #1 Clemson and #2 LSU
Probably a bunch of bullshite. There is no way TCU would be favored over either.

Florida is totally being disrespected. They are a good team this year. Other than that, I don't disagree too much with the top 4.

Its absolutely not true. The "TCU would be favored over Clemson and LSU" is a bullshite tweet tweeted out by a scam artist tout with no credibility or inside info.
RJ Bell doesn't know shite. There is only one originator in Las Vegas and thats LVSC. I guarantee you they wouldn't share their information with RJ Bell or any tout.

It's fricked up they have so many teams in front of BAMA.

Alabama being 4th is retarded. No way around it.
lol at all the analysts being excited because they all think Alabama is the best.

People still think this is the bama of 2011-2012, the greatest of a time. People cant get over the fact it is not, this bama team is slightly better version than last years team. Barely escaped a mediocre tennessee team at home, lost to an ok ole miss team at home. Lsu is going to come hungry. Ohio state would push them around

Interesting stat: every single ranked SEC team is higher in the CFP than AP or coaches poll.
