I don't know if they are tough enough to win the battles with Bama's db's. They have not proved it so far.

Florida db's > bama db's and our wr's held their own. We need to pressure Coker into mistakes that's the key. Oline for once can win this battle in trenches and LF can cause problem. If he does early and we get to Coker we can win convincingly

Bamas DBs arent near as good as UF's dbs. Not sure what bama team you been watching

UF is the best secondary LSU will play all year, no question.
Well, besides in practice.
Also, this is an awful thread. The first thing you should look at with toughness in WRs is run blocking and our WRs do a great job.

LSU's wide receivers better grow some courage for the Bama game
Not sure if serious or trolling. I think our WRs can take care of themselves against big, bad Bama.

You guys are right and were one of the worst D's in college football. We will be lucky to score on your badass D and there's no way we can stop LF. I just hope we can keep y'all puttung up a 100 on us. Please take easy on us were just a young team that's never been in a game like this before!

There's another LSU fan, putting Bama on some glorious pedestal. How are we even worthy to be on the same field with them?

I'm not so sure, cajun5. I just watched cforester's recap of all of Harris's videos (see thread near this one), and it made me realize our WRs are pretty tough. A few throws were into traffic where the WR knew they'd get popped, and they stuck their heads in to try to make the play.
Honestly, there won't be a single player on that field (on either side) that doesn't know the stakes and won't be fighting like hell.

Bama DBs are not as good as UFs but they are not bad. I'm not concerned about courage in the least.

Yea, that's exactly what I said.

They are going to be covered & hit all game like they never have before against Bama. I don't know if they are tough enough to win the battles with Bama's db's. They have not proved it so far.
Disagree. Florida's secondary is every bit as talented and aggressive as 'Bama's. Harris hit a couple of risky throws against the Gator's, using their aggressive style against them. He will need to do that against 'Bama as well. As for the receivers, they need to keep improving but have bowed up to make some tough catches the past three weeks. If Harris hit's his average from the last three games for percentages, yardage and touchdowns, the Tigers will defeat the Tide in Tuscaloosa once again. 5 of the past 7 times.

You are frickin brainwashed... Bama's DB's are not any tougher than any other quality program we play. The difference in their effectiveness against the pass is rushing the QB and confusing schemes. Gators DB's > Bama's DB's and they are already skinned, battered, and fried.

I don't know if they win, but I'm damned sure that LSU is not afraid of playing 'Bama anywhere, anytime.

Seems like he has watched Bama this year:
quote:
In 14 games last season, Alabama defensed (intercepted or broke up) 72 passes. In eight games this year, the Crimson Tide have defensed 62. After ranking 26th in FBS with 5.1 PDs per game last season, they are currently first with 7.8 and are on pace for more than 100 this season.
After some lackluster (by Tide standards) pass defenses in recent years, which led to plenty of overreactions about Nick Saban's defenses falling behind modern offenses, the Tide have surged to No. 1 in the country in Passing S&P+. And it's been a team effort. Five defensive backs have at least five passes defensed -- including three freshmen (Minkah Fitzpatrick, Marlon Humphrey and Ronnie Harrison) who have combined for 20 -- and linemen Dalvin Tomlinson and Jonathan Allen have gotten their big paws on a combined 10. Recent recruiting is reaping immediate dividends, and Alabama is once again well positioned for a national title run despite its offense struggling to produce as many big plays as normal.

bama's strength is rush defense... not secondary
