Fournette and trying not to be a total LSU Homer.

If he stays on track? Hell less. Say he averages 100-125 per game through rest of the schedule, he's the Heismann winner?
Is anyone else out there to make an argument for? Chubb got hurt unfortunately.
Who else?
Again trying not to be a Homer, just asking the question?
I'm sure this is the millionth post of this topic? I skimmed page one of board and did not see it so I threw it out there.

Heisman is Fournette's to lose.

1) Fournette gets unfortunately injured
2) Fournette gets absolutely destroyed in any game, which I don't think is possible
3) We lose more than 2 more games
Pretty much the only reasons I see him not getting the heisman

Boykins is putting up numbers and with a win over Baylor and a playoff appearance I believe he will get a lot of hype. He's putting up video game numbers every week.
I hope in the end voters will understand that those numbers for a TCU QB is more of a system (not saying Boykins isn't good). Fournette is doing it against SEC defenses and a stacked box (assuming he keeps it up throughout the November schedule). There is zero doubt at all that Fournette is the best college football player in the NCAA, it's just will the voters look at the eye popping numbers from the TCU QB, or the overall body of work from Fournette.
I'm sure there will be a late candidate that will emerge, but they wont be able to catch LF7 if he stays at 125ish yards per game in November.

Boykin but I think the defense is so bad in the Big 12 that his stats are inflated

If the voters go by numbers, Corey Coleman at Baylor could win it. The X-Box game type numbers they are putting up will let that kid break records this year as a wide out.

So, you are asking what would happen if his production suddenly plummeted down to mere mortal territory would he win the Heisman? You do realize that his WORST game of the season was significantly more than your hypothetical AVERAGE for the rest of the season?
Most pointless hypothetical ever. You suspect.

When are we going to start seeing voter fatigue for these types of QB's? It seems every year we have a record-breaking QB of some sort.

It will come down to Leonard and Boykin at TCU

Baylor was up by 24 in the fourth quarter last Saturday and still throwing the ball 40 yards downfield in his direction.

LSU has to keep winning. Though not 100% of the time, the award generally goes to the perceived best player on the best team. If LSU drops 2 or 3 games in Nov., he'll start to fade, regardless of his numbers. In that scenario, Boykin become the frontrunner as long as TCU stays in the top 7. If TCU is the Big 12 champ and LSU is 2nd or 3rd in the SEC West, Boykin is the winner. Dalvin Cook is a sleeper pick. FSU isn't nearly as good as they were the last 2 years, but they still have a real chance to go undefeated. If that happens and LSU fades, Cook automatically becomes the "best player on the best team"

still thinks he needs a showcase game against Bama.

November and the SEC championship game will determine his heisman fate. If we go 3-1 or 4-0, Leonard will be theater reason why and he'll hoist yhe trophy.
My prediction:
Bama- 29 carries 141 yds 2 TDS and we win 31-27
Arky- 28 carries 224 yds 3 TDs and we win 38-20
Ole Miss- 25 carries 172 yds 2 TDs we lose 41-38
(This is a perfect trap game)
A&M- 32 carries 272 yds 3 TDs we win 38-28 (Les sends a message to Cheif and Fournette forces LSU to stay in playoff contention)
If we play UGA - 22 carries 190 yds 2 TDS we win 30-17
If we play UF- 30 carries 160 yds 2 TDS we win 27-24
ETA: We get in as 3 seed.

Hopefully they will look at the numbers objectively, including the competition of the teams being played.

I think most of them just care about stats and not who they play against

If he breaks off a long run against Bama in a tight game to secure victory for LSU he'll have it in the bag
