Even if your reading comprehension didn't suck, have you at least watched the games?

There ain't enough bandwidth for this thread.

He won't be fired. Not Les' style. Plus, who we realistically getting at this point?
He won't be here next year though.
I would agree with this. Les will never embarrass one of his coaches in public, nor will he ever openly fire a coach. If Les wants Peveto gone (and this might well be the case) it will be announced sometime in the off-season that Peveto has taken a new job somewhere, that we will certainly miss him, etc., etc.

Maybe they have?
If it were me I'd call before firing.

BDP had nothing to do with the first score - nothing
Kick-offs improves greatly
He can't create a new punter mid-season
This guy can't kick the same punt back to back ever
The one punt he nails out kicks coverage and the gator
like many in the SEC made a great return
but lets fire BDP because he is a idiot - knows nothing about football

You clearly don't pay attention to LSU football. Malveto stunk it up in 08 and got fired. Crowton stunk it up and got fired. Stud stunk it up in '12 and got fired. Peveto is doing equally bad and will be processed at the end of the year.
You clearly don't pay attention to what you're reading.
Did I say he would be here next year? No, in fact I said he wouldn't. Also, those examples you listed were "fired" in the offseason. Which I inferred.
Damn you dumb.

Nah. If he was fired today, I doubt any recruits would even blink.

Rant has developed a mob mentality with special teams. They have zoned in on BDP as their culprit and are baying for his blood. I hope that Les does not adopt a knee-jerk reaction in appease the mob.
I have heard commentary from Gordy Rush, an ex-DB and special teams player, about attitude of special teams players. He thinks that lack of LBs may have contributed to lack of passion on special teams. Players like Guice and Quinn who participate on special teams may be loyal soldiers, but they do not have the training and instinct like Jarvis Landry had because their high schools used them primarily on offense. Identifying and using such players is key to special teams' success.
How much of special teams' failure is BDP's responsibility? The mob is placing all of the blame on BDP and could be placated for now. Placating the mob is not a need now. Improving special teams is. If the incremental changes that this team can make involve BDP, so be it. If a dramatic improvement can be made by letting BDP go, so be it. That however is a knee-jerk reaction for a quick fix. Implement a plan, even if it is an off-season acquisition of a new coach.
Of course, the mob would have focused on lack of execution in the third quarter or defensive lapses if there had not been a punt return touch down. Special teams and their coach will have to live with the glaring mistake that everyone has focused on.
Of course, congrats special team on the fake field goal.

Let me ask you a simple question: If Thomas McGaughey (who routinely fielded top ten special teams units) was still here, are we still having this conversation?
Posted on 10/18/15 at 7:32 pm to BasilBogomil
I am fairly certain that Keehn shanked a punt and it hit Peveto on the sideline. If I am correct, I am pleased with Keehn's performance.

Suddenly I'm struck with fear after every TD or field goal scored by LSU. Thank you coach, you changed my entire perspective.

People dog on the rant but I like our record when we call things out. Get #31 da fuq out insert Bec( d improved tremendously), change this offense and the run, run, pass (we do this boom we have offense), etc. Believe it or not we are not coaches but we recognize the obvious WE need a new Fricking special teams coach. DAMMIT MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!

Our coverage units weren't good BDP's first time here and they're abysmal now. At what point can we blame the coach?

I would say, as the (grossly overpaid) ST coordinator, all of it.
People are not freaking out bc of last nights ST gaffes. They are freaking out bc last nights gaffes are still happening in week 7, when it has been apparent all season that there have been lapses in ST play. And in order for les miles' runtheshitoutoftheball offense to work, that requires sound defense and special teams play.
