The Cubs deserve to lose badly

The fans in Chicago wanted to lynch Steve Bartman and they made his life a living hell. I hope the Cubs lose in some strange way that extends the curse making a goat out of someone new.

The Cubs deserve to lose because they made a goat out of Bartman. Therefore, you hope they lose so they can make a goat out of someone else. Airtight logic

Plus they're a bunch of bush league goons.

Bartman is not hated like he once was.
Most fans agree he was a heat of the moment scapegoat.
I personally hope he comes back to a game. If anything you should pull for the cubs so Steve can rejoin his beloved team

He was a victim of the curse and should have been viewed as such from the first day.

A decade is a little much. A few years maybe. It was mostly a joke after the whole Harry Caray's thing.
On the bright side for Steve, if he was a Dodger fan and in the same situation he'd have likely been curb stomped.

Well, since we love going to wrigley for the party, we got mad that he impacted our chance to do that a few more times in November.

I don't know about deserve, but I hope they lose unless they are playing the Mets. Then I hope it goes 7 with each game going about 15 innings.

Part of me wants the Cubs to play in the World series. I want to see a Cubs vs Blue Jays World Series. However, on the same note, I share some of the OP's sentiments. To solely place the blame on Bartman when there were 5-6 other sets of hands reaching for said ball, is absolutely ridiculous. Nevermind the SS error, or the fact that it was game 6 and game 7 was still being played at home in front of the Cubbie faithful. Moises Alou was a tool anyways. I will root for the Cubs to make it to the World Series and then I think I will turn the other cheek and root against them come WS time.

Meh...heat of the moment...mob mentality...desperate for winning.
I think just about every Cubs fan has moved on from it. Really only the haters bring him up now as some awesome joke.
