Unfortunately I'm banking on the Astros success in order for me to see the Cubs in a World Series this year

Absolutely buddy. Dress slutty, too.

If we play the way we have been we have the ability to take both of them but I'd rather play the Mets. Given a choice, I don't want to play Grinke/Kershaw

want the Mets too. Their young pitching wont be as intimidating as the Dodgers aces for our young guys

If I have to pick, I guess you would want to avoid Kershaw/Grinke, but I'm am happy as hell Cubbies are in this thing, so I'm good with whoever.

I want the Mets too, but I've got tickets to Game 2 in LA should the Dodgers win.

Also, playing the Dodgers would mean late night games...screw that. Some people have to get up early.

All in on the Mets the more I think about it.

Me too. I'd rather face the younger team who we went 7-0 on.

The Mets may be a different team from earlier in the season but so are the Cubs with the youngsters getting more experience and the additions to the club the second half of the season. Something about nto being able to beat the Cubs this year will sink into the psyche of the Mets as well.

I want the Mets based on that, travel, time zones, game times, and NY media market. Which of course means we will face the Dodgers.

Bosio just said on ESPN1000 that Game 1 starter is likely to be Lester.

weaker lineup top to bottom then the Dodgers
not really sure how you can say that when we have one regular with an OPS below .770 this year

You can get rooftop seats for NLCS pretty easily right now at $350/each.

Wonder if it'll be like that for the WS. Might be a good consolation prize and it's open bar.

I really don't think it matters. The only thing I can think of is Mets because of travel/timezones.

Either team is going to have excellent pitching

At first I was leaning Dodgers - Sneak a win or two in LA (Arrieta/Lester vs. people not named Kershaw or Grienke) then come home for the best shot at Kershaw/Grienke. Take 1 out of 2 games at home then clinch with Arrieta/Lester again (forcing Kershaw to go game 6 on short rest).

Now you people have me talked into the Mets.
