No problem guys... Love how Harris is progressing week to week. Not as many overthrows as Auburn.

I hate that I feel optimistic about QB... it can only mean bad things

Nice. An actual offense that utilizes the entire field and tries to get the ball to playmakers.

Good game by Harris. He really is making progress every single game.

I noticed a bunch of underneath crossing routes....me like.

underneath to intermediate routes with the occasional deep ball is the key to this passing game.

Thanks for your work, OP. That's really nice stuff.

Even nicer seeing the improvements Harris and the receivers are making.

great work as always, and this looks like a more complete/modern day offense.

Please tell me you are going to do Guice highlights?

If we can go around 280 rushing and 230 passing per game, we won't be stopped!

Harris is making nice progress and improving.... He had his few bullets that led to incompletions, but I noticed several throws where he took some heat off and had nice touch on the ball. The crossing route to Johnson for the 1st down is an example. His playmaking ability is starting to show. The pass to Fournette while getting hit on the corner blitz before the half was a thing of beauty and something we haven't seen from the QB spot in a long time.

In addition, watching every passing play I noticed how South Carolina threw some different blitz packages at our OL and we held up well. Pass blocking is getting better. Exciting to see the passing game improve and gets me pumped for the future!

but they came out to hit Fournette and, for the most part, they shut him down.

I love that we are getting fournette involved in the passing game as well. Every time he comes out of the backfield he will either command the respect and attention of their secondary or be a severe mismatch for a linebacker.

I missed it while watching the game but before the half when we went with a five receiver set Fournette was lined up outside and ran a WR route. I thought that was awesome!!

Thank you OP I love these videos.

The play at the 7:34 mark in the 1st Q. The o-line looked like it stayed in pass protection. Is that play a designed run or is the option to pass to the short side receiver for the first with the option to run? Either way that's a perfect play for Harris.

I think we started rolling when we got in the spread formation. They can't stack the box as much and LF is still getting that head steam that he does in the I formation. Losing JdM sucks but our offense can be ran through the spread and I think it could work. His best run came from the spread if I am remembering right

You hate to see a guy like Moore go down. He was playing great football and a was a big part of Fournette's early success. That said, his injury forced LSU to get out of their comfort zone a bit and spread things out. As a result, Harris seemed to be much more comfortable throwing the football and LSU was less predictable. Also, they were STILL able to run the football because they forced USC to move some people out of the box. That gave Guice and Fournette a little space to run.

No one is saying that LSU should abandon the I-formation power running game/PA pass. However, there are too many great skill players on the field to just limit themselves to a predicable running attack. Hopefully his performance gave the coaching staff a little more confidence in him. Sure there were a few dangerous throws. That's going to happen regardless of the QB. But outside of those dangerous throws, he made some really great throws.

LSU scored 45. It easily could have been 60

I can't tell if Harris is not stepping up to by more time, if the Oline is just not blocking that well on many of these plays or if Harris is scrambling out too soon.

But it does seem like there are quite a bit of break downs in pass protection causing him to hurry a lot of the throws.

Well I know it's going to dip some, but I'm faithful that Fournette could get at least 125 at 5 ypc on any team (even Bama). He was sat out with 8 minutes in the 3rd quarter with SCAR with 158 yards. Five more carries after he broke the defense open would have likely given him another 200 yard performance.
