At this point it's probably about 10 percent Bountygate. They probably would have wasted those two 2nd round picks anyway.
Payton drank his own kool aid and think he's a rock star.
Brees is more concerned about his image and post-football career than he is about being a leader.
Payton and Loomis arrogantly acted like they could just plug any undrafted free agent into the WR corps.
The ownership dispute has left the franchise without any leadership and accountability at the top.
Every single free agent they signed and every single player they signed to an extension either got a bad attitude, became washed up, or forgot how to play football.
They ran every locker room leader out of town
If it wasn't for the Knicks and Sacramento Kings, the Saints might be the most lost professional franchise in sports.
They will always be my favorite team, but it's hard to deny that they are a complete dysfunctional mess.

Thursday:
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Saints win by twenty or more.
This ain't a natural game probably one of the most personal games in the NFL and we are riding the high horse at the moment.
I am so glad Mike Smith is gone I almost don't care if we drop this one it was worth it.

Yes. And we're still probably gonna beat the Falcons

Yeah people seem to forget about the Lions The saints need a good draft this year, that's for sure.

I don't know. Are the Lions already 138 million dollars over the salary cap for 2016?

Probably the worst franchise in NFL history. Louisiana should be embarrassed that the Saints call New Orleans home

Not sure about that. But all I know is the MNF game between the Saints and the Lions is going to be a major shiteshow. Prob 4 interceptions a piece and a few fumbles from both sides.

I think ownership is as interested as he can be.

Nah, that would be one without a super Bowl championship, like the one you doubtlessly support.

If you started this thread to get a rise out of saints fans, I've got news for you...

Brees is declining a bit, but he has jack and shite around him both in terms of receiving targets and interior lineman (which have always been most important for his success). Even the great ones need some help eventually, you can't expect the guy to elevate udfa and marginal lineman forever. If you gave Brees 85-90 percent of the receiving options in this league I think his "decline" would seem a lot less severe. Arrogance by Payton and the front office that they can plug and play guys BB style is really bringing him down.

I think we would beat the living shite out of the Panthers on Thursday, but this thing is primed for a Falcons beat down.
We won both games last year and nothing would get the Saints back on track like a good dirty bird arse whipping.
There is no single reason we should lose this game so therefore we're snake bit.

We know exactly where they are right now. The only reason the Saints aren't winless is because they beat the Dallas Cowboys practice squad. IN OVERTIME.
And yes, you can never take 2009 away. And 1/3 of the NFL would kill for that. But damn, it's like we sold our souls and our entire franchise's future for it. And with the team's lack of talent and Sean Payton's general disinterest, it's entirely conceivable that they haven't even reached the bottom yet.
