The ticket manager was on SportsTalk around 5 this afternoon and I'm pretty sure he said 30,000 seats were already sold. General public sales were starting at 6.

Mascona said that it was 30,000 at around noon. That was well before the public sale.

I remember that time WAFB reported that gas was going up to $10/gal the next day. Caused a mini-run on gasoline in BR.

So it will be just like starting a home LSU game right after halftime with 30,000 people there!

Got my seats. Probably should have texted buddies about all going together or something.

Hope more attend.

More tickets were sold to LSU fans for the Rose Bowl in 2007.

Let's see...

-- Unique opportunity to literally pick your seat in TS for an SEC game at a very reasonable price. When will that ever happen again?

-- Bonus chance to see potential heisman trophy winner LF.

-- Extra "home" game during what could be one of the best seasons in LSU history. Think back to 2011 and what if there had been a chance to watch that team one extra time in TS - who wouldn't jump all over that in hindsight?

-- Could be last season for the Old Ball Coach. Definitely his last game in TS.

-- Crowd will certainly be much smaller than usual so traffic and parking should be pretty easy.

-- Weather will be great.

Other than having previous plans that can't be broken, why wouldn't every LSU fan be super excited about this opportunity?
