LSU made S.Carolina the offer to host on Monday. It was the Cocks, for viable reasons, who took so long in making the decision to move the game. And, the Cocks do have a great motive to get butts in the stands, as they are getting all the ticket monies minus LSU's expenses. So, a $20 ticket is better than nothing at all.

Yes, but a $60 ticket sold is better than 3 $20 tickets. They get the same revenue with 66% less drunk LSU fans cheering against their team.

I am not near a FedEx and I don't use public servers to enter credit card info and other personal stuff. I cannot do this from my android.
I have had 2 security issues with 2 different credit card accounts and I don't know how or when the breach happened.
A public copy place ain't gonna happen.

Just curious, does LSU take PayPal? Don't think they do. That would help.
Likewise I agree the app ain't friendly for online tix.

I'd expect 10-15k walkups tomorrow too.

Out of curiosity, why isn't there an incredibly cheap ticket option? It seems they are really having a hard time selling tickets with a price range of $40 - $75. Wouldn't it be better to pack the place with $15 upper deck tickets and $25-30 lower bowl tickets?
Not from the standpoint of South Carolina, which is in charge of setting the prices. They'd rather sell half the tickets at twice the price than the other way around. Same money, but fewer LSU fans in the stadium.

Just north of 40k now per Hanigriff
Posted on 10/9/15 at 10:33 am to Methuselah
Just said on Hannigriffs show that's it's just over 40,000 now sold

So we're probably looking at 55-60k. Good enough to help the team for sure, especially if concentrated in the lower bowl. Be like games in the 80s.

in this situation specifically, why would anyone buy a ticket that won't show up, much less 10% of the people buying tickets? This isn't a situation where you have people who buy season tickets as a package and choose not to come to some games. there will be very few people who buy tickets not show up for this game

I saw someone on Facebook trying to sell 6 tickets yesterday. People are stupid.

Almost everyone I know either got a few extra because they could and weren't sure of the total they would need or the rare case where they thought they could make a buck on the secondary market. The other few thousand will come from people who got them thinking they could go, but don't or decide parking/traffic/heat isn't worth it. People who changed their mind basically.

I know of some businesses that bought up tickets and gave them out for marketing, to clients. Sometimes, the clients will take the tickets and end up not going. Business doesn't care, written off as an expense. I could see some no shows. Don't know about 10%.
Posted on 10/9/15 at 10:49 am to Festus
oh i don't doubt there will be SOME no shows, I just think it will be far less than a normal game. most people aren't going to spend 75 a ticket for an event a couple days away and not go

It's just a guess in the end. 5k tickets bought with people not in the seats seems reasonable to me.

More tickets were sold to LSU fans for the Rose Bowl in 2007.

Are sales to students included in this 40,000 number?
