I'll shite on Alleva every chance I get, but he has been a pro in every aspect regarding this weekend. Good job, Joe... I'm happy to call you my AD this weekend. I wish more fans would buy tickets, but Alleva has certainly extended a helping hand in every regard thus far.

This isn't a price issue at all.
Yes. It is. You know how they get butts in the seats for crappy rent-a-wins? The tickets are cheap and families can go for under $300.
short notice + relatively high prices + mediocre opponent + balls arse hot weather = little motivation for anyone outside of diehards to go.
Not many are breaking plans for regular priced $75 dollar tickets. You drop it to $30, you may get some more takers.
------------------------------------------------------------
Unless there are more than seven people in your family, you can go to this game for under $300. The West Upper deck bench seats are $40 each and there are plenty still available.
Mediocre opponent? That means you ought to see the Tigers win and Leonard Fournette get his fourth 200 yard game in a row.
Balls arse hot weather? The forecast for Saturday is a high of 85, low of 57, with 10-15 mph wind out of the North. That isn't that hot.
Added bonus: It'll be a lighter than usual crowd, so post game traffic shouldn't be as bad. Maybe you won't feel it's necessary to leave at halftime.
Honest to God, some of you people are just looking for something - ANYTHING - to bitch about. It must be a miserable way to go through life.

All you ever hear from people who do not ever go to the games is they can never get good seats. Now there are seats all over the bowl and people are still making excuses. I wish there was a black out on the game so these fly by night fans can not watch the game.

These ticket prices are very reasonable. If I didn't already have set plans I would grab a couple of lower bowl tickets and go. 40 for upper deck tickets to see a SEC game is a fair price.

Are you trying to tell me that on a given weekend LSU has an extra 70k people who want to go see a game outside of the normal crowd?
Maybe this will finally shutup the people who constantly say that for every game lsu has 100,000 in the stadium and another 100,000 outside of the stadium enjoying the party because they can't get tickets.

Really?? Free? These tickets are cheap for an SEC game. The point is to help out South Carolina.

IF I lived in BR and IF I didn't have to work this weekend, I would LOVE to be at the game at those prices.
Just sayin.
Just sayin.

So it will be just like starting a home LSU game right after halftime with 30,000 people there!

This 100% exactly!
As they complain about the ticket prices they are spending that last dollar on cigarettes and that lotto ticket.

Me and 20 buddies arent buying tickets because frick south carolina!

They'd have to drop prices. If the season ticket holders aren't buying then the regular fans surely won't.
Season ticket holders are likely not buying them because they weren't allowed to buy they own tickets. I ended up only buying one of my two I normally have.
They made this process a shite ton more complicated than it needed to be...
Step 1: Once the game was moved, send out an e-mail to ticket holders and give them first right of refusal for their own seats. Give it 24 hours, at that point...
Step 2: Open up the sale of unsold tickets to the gen pop.
Why act like this type of sale is unprecedented in the history of sports? Don't all pro teams that have playoffs sell their tickets like this?

People have shite planned for this Saturday they can't get out of to go to the game. It ain't that complicated people.

ol over the ticket prices. So he could set it at $1000 if he wanted to? Seems implausible. And SC's cut is after LSU's "costs" are recovered which will be a sizable number they pull out of the air.
So you think Alleva is gonna use this as an opportunity to inflate how much it costs us to put on a game, so be can bilked some extra cash from SC? Do you realize how ridiculous that is? How is it wearing a tinfoil hat around?

I know people in my season ticket section who aren't going because of the heat. I kept hearing "no more day games" as the reason these people were not going.
Those people are truly pathetic.
IT'S A BONUS GAME. FREE. HOUSE MONEY.
I would think LSU fans would be grateful to have another home game after losing our opener.
