I think they said that was the goal. Last official number I saw was 30,000 around noon today. I could see them getting pretty close to 50,000

36K is latest report. Where are all the fans that got "pushed out" over the years? Here is your opportunity.

Opportunity for what precisely?
To catch a taste of prime seats on a weekend most made out of town plans against a "meh" SEC opponent.

OK. OK. I promise to yell at least twice as loud as whoever sits in the seat I got. Maybe 3 times as loud if it is a young girl or an old lady.

I agree, less sandy vaginas in the sideline seats. The wine and cheese crowd sits it out and we get some hungry fans in those seats.
On Saturday you'll see what the stadium looks like without the wine and cheese crowd, a lot of which typically get FREE tickets from friends, family, vendors, business owners etc. The "true" fans that have been priced out because of TAF fees will be sitting at home on their couch while the stadium is half empty.

Ok, so I like wine and cheese. I am a member of TAF. I bought 10 tickets to this game in 102 but I am a season ticket holder in the SEZ. I also yell the whole game. I'm not sure if I should be mad at myself or not? This is all very confusing.

35,000 fans plus 6,000 LSU students. I'm thinking about 41,500 total.
It will be an odd experience for all of us as we have not had that few people at kickoff in TS since the mid-1950s. I do believe, however, that 41K LSU fans can make a lot of noise if motivated.

Since we are probably going to win this game regardless, I think we should yell when LSU has the ball that way not only is it more homish for USCe but they also get practice for Bama with the crowd noise

I went to the emu game. Everyone left at half. Sad

I think you will be wrong....the crowd will definitely be MEMOREX on Saturday.

I'm one of those fans that yells and screams the entire game. To the point it takes a few days for my voice to go back to normal. I'll be there this weekend again cheering
It does amaze me though how many fans don't stand and shout. Usually those are the types that leave midway through the third. "Mass exodus " it's a shame but they paid so they can do what they want.
I do remember though the last South Carolina game in Tiger Stadium. The air was electric. You could feel the noise in your bones.

This is pretty much the definition of a trap game for LSU. They are going to come out flat and Les is going to play down to them because that's what he does and he doesn't want to whoop that arse because they have already been through enough. The stadium will be half empty so the players won't feed off the crowd. Half of the crowd usually leaves at half and since the stadium will only be about half full at kick off that means there will be no one there in the third quarter.
Going to be a disappointing day for LSU. Don't expect to see a blow out. It will be a close and ugly game

I was there too, and not really. They just really didn't have that many people anyway from the start.
