Yeah in 2012 I got a hotel room in NOLA and tickets to the BCS National Championship game... fricked right in the arse.

He might want to check with his credit card company about their travel insurance policy. Also, a list was posted earlier in the week showing the policies for various airlines in these types of circumstances. I suspect it'll take some leg work, but he should be able to fix most if not all of this.

Delta gave me full value of my flight for future travel within the next year by calling and speaking to someone for 6 minutes.

So far screwed on airfare. They want 200 per ticket to change flight. Each ticket was roughly 185. So just eating the cost there and getting a new flight home.
Stubhub when I first talked to them said it is considered a postponed event and not canceled so there is no refund. Minutes later I received an email saying they are looking into refunds. So we will see there.

Had a non-refundable room at the Courtyard, called them this morning and they refunded the charge on my CC. I used points for flight and cancelled them this morning with no problem.

I'm sitting on 6 tickets; Was Planning on bringing my sons and grandsons for their first time to see the Tigers. If they moved it anywhere within driving distance I would have gone. Can't make it to Baton Rouge from Augusta though. Last time I went to a game was the loss to Clemson ! Starting to feel just a little snake bit! I need to see if I can get a refund on the tickets I bought them through Score-big but they show Ticketmaster. Sucks but I guess we'll just have to have a party at the house!!!

Hotels can't charge you until you stay. You are well within the 48 hour window to cancel hotel penalty.
Great example of southwest being a great personal airline. I fly others when flying business, but southwest is perfect for situations like these.

Unless they did the cheaper advance purchase rate that many of them do that allows no refunds.

I'm Platinum Premier with Marriott, they would have refunded me either way so I wasn't worried about it. But they technically didn't have to refund anything.
