What if LSU wins ugly all the way to the playoffs?

We could be here every Sunday complaining about how bad certain elements of the team looked yet just keep on winning without dominating. Bama 9-6, OM 10-7. Not fun but I'll take it.

Everybody here would take that. But it will undoubtedly mean that great improvements were made along the way.

I'm not sure I would qualify any of the wins as "ugly" at this point. Tenn in '10 was ugly, Troy was ugly. Aubie in '12 was ugly

I think you can win ugly against much weaker opponents. However winning against a team like bama is beautiful no matter how it's accomplished.

There is no ugly win vs Bama Florida Ole Miss A&M or even Arkansas. The reason people are freaking out about yesterday is if they play like that (drop balls, poor special teams, blown coverages, penalties) against those teams they will not win those games. They have the talent to win a championship. Just got to clean it up.

The better question is: how likely is it that LSU can go undefeated with a passing attack that averages 80 yards a game?

Somehow a 2 loss Bama will make the playoffs over a 1 loss Big12 team and Bama wins in a rematch.

I mean, we've all seen this movie before.
However, if we had played anyone except Bama in the 2011 championship game we probably would have won a title. So it's theoretically possible to go all the way with a one dimensional offense.

I think there would be several people that will not be happy with that scenario, although they will not be as vocal if we keep winning. However I think it is reasonable to believe that we will not make the playoff if we don't fix the passing game.
