G19 or G26 for IWB Conceal & Carry?

I'm 6'0", 175 lb so I'm not sure if the 19 would be easily concealed IWB vs a 26 on my frame.
What are the OB thoughts on this?

I'm new to this. What are you referring to?

glock 43 (or 42) cant remember. But its much better for carry. Its a 9mm with a single stack magazine which means the ammo loads on top of one another not side by side making the pistol thinner and easier to carry

I like the 19 better. The difference between the 2 is pretty small. With a good holster the 19 is easy enough to conceal.

I have a G42 the I carry IWB (both mags have extensions and hold 8)..I am in the process of looking at carrying OWB and have narrowed it down to the G19 or M&P9c, I am more "round" than you and I wouldn't be able to carry IWB with the G19 without "printing" or buying a new wardrobe.

I have the Glock 27 now which is the same frame as the 26 but a .40 caliber. I have been carrying IWB with it for years with no problem.
I have been wanting to make a switch back to 9mm for a while now though. Been thinking about going with Springfield's subcompact 9mm. Can't remember the model right now. It's about the same size as the Glock but with a higher magazine capacity.

19 is the way to go. 15+1 9mm. You cant beat that amount of rounds for the weight.

I'm not a fan of the 26. The grip is weird. I own a 19, but it's my bedside gun because it's too big for me to carry. I like the single stack 9's like the Ruger LC9s, S&W Shield, and the Karh CM9. If you insist on a double stack the check out the Ruger SR9c. Just my opinion.

Crossbreed Supertuck or Comp-tac Minotaur will make it concealable for you, but you will have to wear an longish, untucked shirt or light jacket.

If you're going to do this, I highly recommend going with Kahr or Kel-tec - they just do "that" kind of gun better than Glock. I'm a Sig guy, but I hold no grudge against Glock - I own Glocks, I shoot Glocks and at the G17/22 or G19/23 - they are incredible platforms. The smaller they get, the less optimal they are.
The little Kahrs and Kel-tecs are suitable for pocket carry in an appropriate holster - at the end of the day, a smallish Glock brick is still a smallish Glock brick.

I did easily. G26 with G19 mags.

To the OP: I have never understood why people automatically jump to the conclusion that they have to carry IWB (and/or buy a tiny pistol) to carry concealed. You'll need (a) a decent holster, (b) a good gun belt and (c) untucked (preferably dark or patterned fabric) shirt.
p.s. I have carried a G19 for years, every day (365 days/year), OWB in a Comp-Tac paddle holster. I'm 6-0 and weigh 165. It's really not hard to dress around a mid-sized gun.
Just my $.02 worth.

I'm 5'7" 165 and easily carry a G19 in an OTG Apendix holster all day every day. My Ares Enhanced belt is and every day belt that I can use in shorts or jeans.
I tried a G43 (single stack) and had to fight to get to the pistol once I started rolling around.
Got rid of it and stuck with my 19.
If you want to carry OWB I really recommend the Blackpoint tactical leather wing. I've got pleanty of customers that carry 19's, VP9s, and other similar frames and find it super easy to do so.

best advice is to get one that you like and will practice with. Some days I carry a 26 some days I carry a Sig P320 compact, which is similar in size to the 19. It depends what I wear really. Most days I am in slacks and a button down shirt tucked in and I can carry either. I like the N82 tactical holsters and the AlienGear cloak tuck 3.0 is nice for the different ways that you can adjust it. What works for me might not work for you, so find a setup that you like and practice with it.

No offense, but your method makes the grip of the G26 just as long as G19 ... but you still have the shorter barrel of the G26, which results in significantly greater muzzle flip than you'd have with a G19..
The dimension that makes a handgun harder or easier to conceal is the length of the grip ... not the length of the barrel (assuming you're not carrying in your pocket).
With IWB or OWB holsters, the barrel is pointed down alongside your pants leg. So the barrel length is essentially immaterial.
Just buy the G19, get the 16 round capacity, and take advantage of reduced muzzle flip that translates into faster shooting.
If you carry a spare mag, you can add a Glock factory +2 base pad to a G19 mag (to get 17 round capacity in the mag).
Or, if you want even more ammo in your spare mag, get an Aredondo +6 base pad and add that to your G19 or G17 mag.

Both the factory +2 base pad, and the Arredondo +6 base pad, eliminate the issue of having a "skinny" mag extending below the mag well. There is no "gap," nor is there a "bare mag" hanging below the mag well.

I agree with all of this and never stated otherwise.
