Since 2012, LSU has been flagged more times in a game than its opponent by a margin of 24-12 (6 times, the flags were even). By penalty yards, the margin in 26-14 (2 times, yards were even).
Even more stark is the number of times there has been a significant penalty advantage. LSU has been flagged at least three more times than its opponent 18 times while it has been flagged at least three less times only 5 times. An 18-5 margin is clearly massive. Looking at yardage, the margin of 30+ penalty yard games is 15-3. LSU is more likely to be flagged for 30+ more yards than its opponent than it is to have any penalty yardage at all (15-14).

I'm curious what Miles' Okie lite teams commited by way of penalties.

That's great and all. But the penalties called last Saturday fall squarely on the shoulders of the team.
some did some didn't. For example, that hit Debo put on a Syracuse player right as he went out of bounds was bogus. Dude was still in bounds plus Debo pulled up. Also some bogus holding calls. At least call it both ways

Couldn't possibly be that we just dont play with as much discipline. It's definitely a conspiracy against us.

Did you read the article or do you just like injecting non sequiturs whenever you feel the lorazepam-addled urge? This ain't Buzzfeed, you can't just look at the pictures.

This was true under Saban team. His teams were highly penalized until he got to Bama
Aggresive defenses usually are
Then they went over 9 games without a holding call 1 year

Another guy that doesn't know his audience. This is The Rant bro. Narrative is nearly undefeated here. The truth rears it's ugly head from time to time, and narrative beats the living shite out of it. Same as it ever was...

so you think the game was called fair? The Neal penalty should have at least been offsetting.
Earlier in the game Hawkins helmet came off, the defender still engaged him, should be 15 tacked on to Syracuse.
I'm not saying LSU should have less, just that cuse should have had more. Call the game fair. That is all I ask. Consistency.

Nah, I've been lurking daily since 2007, which is why my post count is (and will remain) in the single digits.

Patrick Peterson's foot was inbounds. Refs saw the same pic everyone else saw on TV clearly showing this and still ruled otherwise. If you don't believe Bama and Auburn get a lot of help, I can't help ya.

He is right. But what do you have to say about Sabans LSU teams? most penalized in 2003. Lack of discipline?
I'm not saying conspiracy, just that sec refs suck. Just go watch the UTK UF game. They have a job to do, just like all of us. If we continually screw up, we would all be looking for a new job. But not the refs.

I wasn't surprised at these facts:
--LSU is dead last in the SEC in penalties/penalty yardage margin over the past four years, and has not had a positive margin in any of those seasons.
--When Ritter officiates our games, our penalties/penalty yardage negative margin almost TRIPLES.
--There is only one officiating crew in the SEC with which LSU has a positive penalties/penalty yardage margin.
What did surprise me, although I guess it shouldn't have, was this...
--Ritter's crew has officiated more LSU games than any other SEC crew over the last four years. Only one other crew is even in the same ballpark as far as the number of LSU games officiated.
--The ONE crew with which LSU has a positive margin has officiated fewer LSU games than any other crew over the last four years, and has not officiated any LSU game since 2013.

2001: 7.0/50.7
2002: 8.9/71.6
2003: 6.8/62.5
2004: 4.4/35.4

Okay.............so what is the motive?

That is some high quality Data Nuts...as mentioned in previous threads, I just cringe each time I see Ritter officiating one of our games. He baited me Saturday when an early flag was called against Cuse...that was merely a set up...he and his crew more than made up for it..
