I was looking at a top ranked D3 team and they only had 3 players just above 300 lbs. Size would be an issue for the high school team, but I remember back in 08 when Miami Northwestern sent 7 or 8 kids to Miami in one class.

Is it possible, sure, but it shouldn't. It would be because poor coaching for the college team and great coaching by the he team.

I think so. Look at some of the impacts that true freshmen have had on the game in the last few years. A player like that could almost single-handedly beat a D3 team, especially if he had a few other D1 athletes on the team.

Some of the D3 schools don't have a focus on athletics. It's basically a walk on team. That's just the bottom of the barrel teams. I think a lot of people would be surprised at some of the talent in the D3-D2-NAIA teams.

the '98 West Monroe Rebels likely could have, that team was D1 in the trenches. Best HS team in La. history imo

I have to think a 6A from TX or some of the elite FL schools would be able to take down a D3 team

I do agree that some of these teams with multiple D1 players could play with them.

I went to a D3 college and a great high school team would absolutely roll even most decent D3 teams.

Take a team that will be sending ~15 guys to D1 between their seniors and junior high school classes (with a few skill guys that are going to top level programs) and they would make the D3 players look like they are moving in sand.

I had guys on our team asking me to come play for the team based on watching me play catch out on our lawn

I've seen Sewanee play. Trust me, they would get rolled by some of these high school teams.

A team like IMG certainly could.

When I was in h.s. I was beating a vast majority of the d3 men at NCAA'S. So yeah I'd say it is very possible.

A bottom tier team sure the best HS team could win. But a team like Mount Union would win by 50+

I went Angelo State vs. Oklahoma-Panhandle State several weeks ago, which is Division II.

I'd say a good portion of the top 5A programs in Texas could have competed with and likely beat Panhandle State on that day.

Of course a high school team could win.

I know with basketball, I've had a couple friends who were freshman at a D3 school and they played basketball in high school but didn't play in college. And they were "okay" high school basketball players. Nothing special at all.

We were playing pick-up at a D3 school with some of the D3 basketball players, and my friends were lighting it up. The D3 coach was watching and wanted them to join the team.

I played D2 at another school, and these D3 players were average high school players basically.

So I imagine with football, where rosters carry like 85 to 100 players, the talent pool is even more watered down at the D3 level than with basketball.
