Was wandering the halls of youtube looking at some old Saints games and came across this one.

Saints vs Cowboys - 2006

Fast forward to 35:00 into the video. Awesome play among many others I had forgotten about when Payton and Brees were in their Saints infancy.

Forgot how much fun it was to have a franchise QB and legit coach after all the down years. Having Duece and Reggie in the same backfield. Watching Brees fling the deep ball with impeccable accuracy.

Just thought this board could use something like this after the rough start we've had to this season.

I had kinda forgotten about how great it was to have a hometown team become a legitimate NFL powerhouse.

Beautiful

Just makes you to remember to really cherish the glory years when they come around because they don't come around often

Great video! It's a little depressing to think we can't even get half that good on offense as of now

Just skimmed through the 2009 Pats game in the dome...Brees was EPIC. His deep ball back then compared to now is night and day. Something happened.

Now watching Meachem strip the ball from the Redskins defender @ Washington before the half to score a TD.

Forgot how legitimately great this team was that year.

Been a Saints fan for so long that I'll never forget some asshat plays. Was hoping Brooks would be great. He was OK but the "ONE", he wasn't. He still helped the Saints to be better than they were. Poor Duece stood and ran with us. I wish I could've seen Duece score a SB TD but it wan't meant to be. Then, we get this guy, his name is "Drew." He won and he won. He kept us competitive and then won the ultimate prize. He directed a team that nobody wanted to win the SB. No one gave us a chance. The Saints still won. Don't know what others think but I have to be an optimist. Don't sell this team short. Take along the growing pains along with the little ones. WHO DAT!!!

Thanks for the link, mate.

watching some of that second-half, it's clear how much the league has caught up with Sean Payton's style of play calling

One of my favorite games ever. That play where Devery was 40 yards from the closest defender was sweet. And I love watching any game where Bellycheat and Marsha end up pouting on the sidelines.
