I was surprised that neither Verne nor Gary mentioned That he might have gone too soon. Almost like he beat the snap. Did anyone else expect to see a flag for off sides on that play.
Amazing quickness nonetheless.

He just guessed and got lucky honestly.

They did.

He didn't guess he anticipated the cadence that had been called the same way before.
If their is one thing I learned in my times meeting O and Pete Jenkins @ football camps, those guys are religious in come offs.
It's been stated multiple times by DL and defensive personal Ed O has the guys after practice doing those.
You can already see the benefit in 2 games.

I was suprised how little the backup DT's played in this game. They looked good when in the game. I wonder if fatigue on the first string is causing the defense to look a little tired in the second half.

I was in the stadium, and was honestly expecting an offsides flag there. Turned out not to be, he just guessed right.

I was at the game. From the stands, it sure looked like he jumped early, and I was holding my breath.
But, after watching the game rebroadcast, they played it over and over, and it shows Herron jumped at the exact moment the ball was snapped. Gary did talk about how this is Coach O's influence.

it was pretty clear auburn was doing something to tip their snap count or weren't switching up their cadence. there were a few plays where we came off the ball so fast it looked like we were offsides. there was one by godchaux (i think it was him) later in the game that looked even more ridiculous

Do we have Herron and Gilmore for one more year after this season?

Godchaux picked up something with their cadence while watching on the sideline and passed what he learned to the other guys.

I actually didn't even cheer when it happened because he looked offsides by a mile to me, so I figured it was coming back

watching live from the north end zone I thought he left early. there was another play where someone was in the backfield as soon as the ball was snapped. I couldn't believe there wasn't a flag (but was obviously happy there wasn't)

Im pretty sure we got off like that multiple times in the game. They had JJs snap count down.

Watching it live I was waiting for the word flag to appear on the screen. Happy that it didn't.

Herron's was very close, but he timed pretty damn perfectly. Godchaux was definitely offside earlier in the game.

Sometimes the center has an bad habit of hitching the ball before the snap , you can eat their lunch if you can spot a bad habit like this !

Twice I swore we were getting flagged for offsides... once with Godchaux and once with Herron.
This is a major upgrade from previous coaching.

Gilmore and Herron are RS Sophs. Yes technically they could leave early. I don't see it happening.
