You really are clueless. The Packers would have never made ridiculous signings like Byrd in free agency. They'd have never overpaid to keep guys like Junior Gallette, they'd have figured out ways to acquire more 2nd-4th round draft picks and would keep their roster full with cheap young talent. They only free agency signings they make are 2nd tier players or bargains like Julius Peppers.
Uh, this entire thread is about the QB position and when to part ways... So when you bring up the packers in this thread, the proper context is what the guy responded to you with. You're the clueless one.
Also, it looks like the Saints are following that drafting model with Ireland

The stupidest thing about Galette was that the video was fricking 3 years old. Why should something that happened 3 years ago effect you now?
All Loomis had to do was say "we were aware of this incident and had already discussed and given Junior internal punishment for it. The matter was closed last offseason. Although the league wide climate around domestic violence has become more prominent this past year, and the widespread release of the video raises the issue again, the New Orleans Saints have always taken the issue very seriously and are proud of our record."
Then have Junior volunteer or some shite and AVOID WASTING $18 MILLION DOLLARS, YOU INCOMPETENT DUMBfrick ORGANIZATION.

It's an easy solution to saving a ton of cap space and real money and our GM or front office can't come up with it?
They are the ones with issues.

The guy was a cancer in the locker room and appears to be a cancer in society. Getting rid of him was worth it.

Great franchises in every sport stockpile cheap young talent and draft wisely. They don't break the bank for any position save for QB and maybe one anchor player on defense (CB, LB). They find bargains all over the place. Things the Saints USED TO DO but for some reason stopped doing in 2010 and 2011 and have gotten more and more retarded about since.
Loomis and Payton closed this window on their own through shitty cap and roster management.
+1
So it's time to reverse the trend ... Trade Brees while he still has high value. Stockpile draft picks. Let Payton develop Grayson. Replace Strief. Get a new DC. Overhaul defense. Don't draft shitty.
This will take some time and there will be more lean years, but the sooner things get completely blown up, the sooner the Saints win their next SB.

He wasn't cut for just that issue. You know that though, just want to look at it through kid glasses.

I'm talking about a mental health professional. How many alters do you need before you just stop acting like such an idiotic prick all the time.
This is entertainment. Enjoy it...i guess it's all about your bottom line though

Let's go back to your retarded Russell Wilson idea...

These NFL teams have generally recognized that it’s better to break up with an aging quarterback a year too early than a year too late. And almost none of those decisions look bad in retrospect.
Can I get a footnote on this and what teams didn't regret their franchise QB leaving?
Favre got followed up with Rogers, ok. Montana got followed up by Young. Who followed up Young? What about all the crap that Miami has gone through after Marino? Bills after Jim Kelly? Bulger did ok after Warner left, but only for a year or two, then it's been a shite show. How many 1st Round QBs have died in Buffalo, Jacksonville, Chicago, Oakland, Cleveland and Cincinnati? Everyone remembers Ben Rothlesburger, but nobody remembers the six years of Kordell Stewart before him. There's no guarantee after your QB leaves. That's why they make so much money now.

i'd like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that it's week 3.

I would also love to add the fact that Tampa plays us as hard as any team in the league.
We've looked more competitive in our first two games than another 0-2 playoff team with "the next elite qb"...

someone should put together a list of all the QBs drafted or signed since Drew came to town where the teams that drafted them were hoping they would be their next franchise QB, and then we can all look at the list and decide if that's a lottery we're excited about playing right now.

I like how people think Drew is responsible for WRs not getting separation and his OL not creating running lanes to take pressure off.
Brees is fine, and anyone who thinks otherwise isn't looking at anything past a scapegoat

Brees may still have something left — quite possibly enough to lead another franchise somewhere to a deep playoff run — but it’s probably time for he and the Saints to move on from each other
This makes no sense to me.. If he lead another team, why not the Saints??
