yup. sad thing is this guy might win in civil court. Seen cases where home invaders have won in civil court after being shot/hurt on the victim's property.

Cite a case or admit you're just quoting the secretary in Liar Liar.

Concealed carry and didn't have a round in the chamber.

smh

This^ and the fact it sounds like he hadn't been to the range in sometime hitting everything but the vitals.

I carry gold and silver into my bank occasionally for storage and carry two weapons one exposed on the hip and one in the small of my back. Both locked and loaded.

Glad he got the guy let's see how the bank plays it on the damage charges.

It seems to me like this guy is very lucky he didn't kill a bystander.

Don't risk killing someone over someone else's insured $10k.

It was $11k and who's to say the perp wouldn't have killed anyone? Too bad the old guy wasn't a better shot.

1) Is it legal concealed carry in banks?

Generally yes, as long as licensed and there are no signs restricting

Common sense and history. Bank robbers don't kill people unless someone tries to play hero.

Let the law and insurance sort it out.

Hard to say when someone shoves you in a corner at the butt of a pistol.

The perpetrator caused the escalation not the victim.

Seems that used to be the status quo with airline hijackings, I would rather my life be in my hands

A plained clothes citizen had the reaction time to consciously decided to shot the man in the arms and the legs?

That's pretty surprising and amazing. Had it been a cop the guy probably wouldn't be alive. That guy is lucky.

And that says a bit about our cops

If a guy is crazy enough to pull a loaded gun on other's.. and you have the opportunity to stop him..

how do you know he won't be crazy enough to use it.. or do it again at some point and kill someone down the road? the guy had a criminal past.. he needed to be caught there and then.

Why would you not kill the guy if he had a gun, I don't get that.

I have a CCL and don't keep a round in the chamber. I am left handed, so I can chamber a round faster trying to taking the safety off. Thats why I carry a Ruger LCP with no safety.

I always keep one in the chamber so I am positive I will get one shot off. being in a situation like that will not be like being at the range. You will be in full panic mode and gun could jam or you could frick up. I have a 9mm that holds 16 with one in the pipe and the gun is double action. All i do is get it out and start pulling the trigger.
