hey are keying on cooks though. The rest of the WR's are hot garbage.

You don't think teams are keying on Odell Beckham and Antonio Brown? Very similar WR's who are their team's #1 without much other help and still putting up huge #'s.

And like I said in another thread, I'm still fine with Breaux. I've seen enough good out of him to outweigh the bad he'll learn from. He's a rookie in this league.

It was kind of hard not to on Sunday.

Byrd's face was on the tickets and his name and number were on the rally towels.

I'm disappointed in our lack of weapons. I truly felt like Brees could turn anyone into a stud. But it's clear, outside of Cooks, we don't have any receiving weapons. We need talent on offense badly.

Cooks needs to be a slot guy. He's getting bitched by bigger, stronger corners on the outside.

Sean Payton is by far the biggest disappointment. His team has looked completely unprepared and overmatched in both games this season.

lack of offensive adjustment. Brees was clearly having trouble with finding a guy going through his progressions on the 7 step drop (i have no idea whose to blame)

But... ive seen Manning and Rodgers on fire with a lot of quick darts on a 3 step drop to get the O going and help out the O line with pressure.

Need more of that when the O is struggling.

I'm not sure we have the receivers for that

Or maybe you could actually contribute to threads instead of criticizing other posters. But a username like that tells me all I need to know about you.

Disappointments:

#1. Loomis and CSP talent evaluation: Put big contracts into the wrong people.
#2. Your high No.1 draft pic should be on the field. How bad is he if he can't beat out our two current OG's?
#3. Trading JG instead of trading Breesus.
#5. CSP play calling has become predictable. If 1st and 10 doesn't gain yards, 2nd and 10 will be a run.
#6. A big fat arse D coordinator. Lead by example. Don't ask me to run around and play hard when you can't even push off from the dinner table.
#7 Cameron Jordan is looking like slightly above average,

What I'm happy with:
#1. Young LB's that look impressive.

I am not disappointed in the D,

same here, not a lot of veteran talent to work with at the moment.

the rookies have looked okay I think. Kikaha has forced fumbles in both games so far so you have to like that.

O-line was crap in pass protection yesterday and we wasted another timeout for whatever bullshite reason.

had Hocker not missed a field goal and had an extra point blocked we would have had at least a chance for a field goal there at the end to try for overtime.

I hope yesterday's game doesn't get in the young kicker's head. It looked like we had finally found our guy last week when he was drilling kicks out in Arizona

the reason the kicker battle lasted until the last preseason game was due to inconsistencies in both kickers. we simply chose the one who had been slightly more consistent than the other...neither ran away with the job. this like many other things on the team could be a problem all season going forward.

If you were holding out hope that Josh Hill would save this offense, then you were delusional from the start.

Josh Hill is a serviceable player and not bad for another UDFA.

But the real disappointments?

1. Continued lack of pass rush
2. Terrible defense
3. Terrible offensive play calling
4. Ignoring glaring holes (WR, TE, G)
5. Strief regressing and a 1st rounder sitting
6. Delvin Breaux looking lost
7. Injuries to Lewis and Ellerbe
8. Complete silence on Byrd
9. Brees making poor decisions and underthrowing everything
10. Payton's indifference on the sideline
11. Loomis ruining this team's cap

As I said in here awhile back, not sure why anyone was hyped for him. He didn't show dick when had opportunities for us other than drop balls before this season. I said poor man's Jimmy Graham but he's not even that.

SEAN frickING PAYTON

Drew Brees in his prime made Sean P look good. Without that type of qb play Sean is just an average coach.

His personnel decisions suck as well.

There is ZERO reason to pass on LC! NONE! We are the Saints, and we knew the facts at the time and had the connections to know them all.

I'll have to agree with everyone saying Sean Payton and Loomis. They're both the major problems with this team and you can't defend SP anymore. His team right now might be the worst in the NFL and don't forget, towards the end of last season aside from the 1 game at the end we were actually starting to look worse. The season before that the second half we fell apart too and that momentum has carried over from last year into this season.

I believe that short playoff run the season before last blinded us badly as to how many holes this team was starting to have. That second half regular season they just basically handed the division away. If you put 25+ new players on your roster that's rebuilding time. Need to tear it all down and start from the top. If we don't show much improvement this season then I'm not sure where I stand on Payton. I think he gets 1 more season and that's it.

You're letting one really silly play influence you here.

No, I remember multiple penalties against him in game 1.
I really like him, and think he will get better, just hasn't done it the first 2 weeks.
