GSP Pups coming soon - Hopefully

My female went into heat last week, and sent her off today to where the stud is for a few days.
We bred her around the same time last year, they were born in early november and pups were ready to go home right around Christmas, which makes it easier to sell them.
My only dilemma is that it puts her out of commission for a lot of big duck season (again), which sucks because she is by far my best retriever. How long after the pups are born should I wait to bring her out in the duck blind with me?

She has to stay with pups till at least they are weaned...

Since she'll be in net-negative energy as long as those pups are nursing, don't add stress by hunting her or add stress by taking her away from the pups suddenly.

I've been searching for a gsp for a while now. Can u please send me some pics of mom and dad if u can and how much will you be asking.

Well the simple solution would be to stop breeding her on this heat cycle then yall could hunt her... Or get a male

How much will u ask for the pups?

We are asking $700 for them, and there $100 deposit to hold your spot, $600 will be owed when the pup is picked up.

Is your dog a six hitch dog and breeding back to another one of their males?
Posted on 9/16/15 at 10:19 am to pointdog33
Yep. but not one of their males that she has kept from one of the litters. No relation in the pedigrees.

That's two great looking dogs. Where will the dogs be located?

I've always had labs for duck hunting. How are the GSP's in the blind. I thought they were a hyper breed. My GF wants one really bad and won't stop talking about them

No more "active" than a lab, I can't comment about duck hunting, from what I have read they are kind of hit and miss in the duck blind, but in the field one of the best. Ours is a companion, just like any other pet they like to get out and fetch and run, ours is a year and a half old now and is the best companion we have had. She will be tracking this year for the first time....
