It is quite amusing that these "fans" are saying we will blowout auburn based on last night and in the same breath defend us almost squandering a game last nigh

i see growth potential. that's it. i'm guessing it's gonna be reached. it might not be. i saw a number of things that could go right for LSU but didn't, and not many things that went right but shouldn't next time.

that and the prospective improvement between defacto game 1 and game 2 couple with auburn's weak team says blowout. we'll see though. i'll be happy with a W.

I don't know what people expected. I mean, it was our first game on the road against a top 25 team breaking in a new quarterback and you have Leonard Fournette. Of course we were only going to throw the ball 12 times.

Look, we let off of the gas a little too early and had some stupid penalties kill us but at the end of the day we won a road SEC game. And we're probably going to come home and do the same thing next week because we known Auburn won't be able to stop the run. As the season goes on and Harris becomes more comfortable we'll open up the playbook. I just don't know why anyone expected anything different last night.

We had plenty of bama-esque bandwagon fans that lack perspective, reason and accountability.

I am not sure why this shocks you

hey rouge! i'm not shocked by their existence only their prominence on this board.

sad state of affairs when a win is treated like a loss.

I think we will blow out Auburn next weekend. That doesn't excuse the pathetic job of coaching we had in the second half last night. This team could be very good, I think that's what so many are upset about.

I was just thinking to myself Topwater Trout is a totally rational person outside the OT dindunuffins threads.

Exactly I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. They are like those people who fail every fricking test in during the semester but some how in their mind they think they will ace the final.

for the record, i think they could've thrown it five to ten more times. didn't happen. we won. okay.

funny thing is.. i have this really sneaky suspicion that they're gonna get what they're wanting… an explosive offense. they just wont get it right now and it's making them so so mad.

Biggest improvement game one to 2 and game one we beat a top 25 team on road. Now lets work on thise flags that took 17 points away and youll be happy. People forget it was game 1 and we still did it.

Insanely high expectations from the fan base means you have arrived.

This is a pussy post.

but what i saw from this board was everyone screaming that we had an F. and fear and certainty that we were gonna make an F down the line.

Dude we were pretty close to getting an F but not sure how your grading scale works. And if something doesn't change there's no way we won't have some Fs down the line.

1. We have a wealth of talent outside of LF7 and Miles continues to deny them the ball.

It is absolutely pathetic that Dupree had 2 catches last night and that Diarse is just completely ignored until Les's offense is backed so far into a corner that they have no choice but to try to get him the ball. Other teams would move heaven and earth to get their playmakers open and the ball in their hands. shite, Bama found ways to get the ball to Cooper last year all game long when EVERYONE knew they were trying to get him the ball.

quote:

Harris played exceptionally well and was building up some nice confidence then Miles turns him off.

Harris looked fine. The deep ball to Dural (called back) was perfect. He drilled two passes on deep crossing routes with guys in his face, one to a TE!!! (that had to be a mistake though because LSU never went back to those routes). He showed nothing make you worry that he was overwhelmed, yet Les played the 2nd half like he was some third string walk-on just trying to avoid a mistake

quote:

3. We had a DECENT lead and miles slams on the brakes on offense wtf

From the start of the 2nd half the whole MO was simply to run out the clock. If LSU scored, great, but it had to come within the confines of ultra risk-averse approach. The emphasis on offense was not to extend the lead and put a team you were dominating away, but rather just not frick-up and hang on for a win.

quote:

4. Defense played their asses off the first half, but Miles wore them out by the second with all that run, run, pass, punt in the second half

This is nothing new. When the overall offensive approach is "just don't screw up", you put a ton of pressure on your defense to be perfect. Prescott is a good QB. Eventually he was going to make a few plays.

Miles' tenure at LSU is riddled with games like last night where victory/loss unnecessarily rests on a razors edge even though it is clear to everyone watching that LSU dominated their opponent. Think back to how many times you've said "how the frick is this game still close?" Here's a short list of those times
2007 - UK
2009 - MSU, UGA
2010 - UNC, Tenn., Florida, Ole Miss
2011 - The outlier
2012 - USC, UF, Ark., Bama (2nd half)
2013 - UF
2014 - UF, Ole Miss, Bama

All games where everyone watching could see that LSU was clearly the better team that day. Yet, the outcome was very much in doubt because of the desire to just play a safe as possible rather than step on the throat of the opponent.

All the sunshine pumpers see is a win and ignore the fact that in a game that was being dominated by LSU, the ultimate outcome was allowed to rest ENTIRELY on the foot of the kicker from MSU. The realist who don't have their heads up their assess see just another example in a long history of Les Miles "escapes"

He's the HS student with all of the ability to make straight A's (his teams are loaded with talent), but who is happy to make a C or B- so long has he doesn't have to expend the extra energy to come out of his comfort zone.

Maybe so but at least I don't make moronic generalizations about things I have no knowledge about idiot.

Since you KNOW lsu has the worst fans can you tell me who has the best fans?

In what world does beating a top25 team at night on the road be close to an f? Even if we lost on that kick it was a c performance. To say we were on verge of an f is fricking retarded

So you actually "enjoyed" watching that game last night?

but really is it? is it being more of a "pussy" to deal with the lot that you're given and hope/wait for more. or to complain about the lot you're given in life while being terrified that you'll have something taken from you...

frick you nailed it. So many peoples self image is based on how good is lsu and people are terrified a loss reflects on them. They are more worried about the what if rather than the actual

Why do our fans want to be like that Bama board where you can't say anything negative?
