There's only two ways this season is going to go for the Patriots:

They rape and pillage a path of destruction through the NFL and in the face of Roger G. or they fade into obscurity. There will be no middle ground.

I completely disagree with you here. Longtime Pats fan checking in and I fully expect this season to be somewhere in the middle ground. 10-6 or 9-7

The offense will be tough to stop once we get a couple games under our belt but their are questions on the O-line.

The Defense is salty up front and at LB, but we will undoubtedly lose some games because of the turnover back there.

I think that even mixture of strengths and weaknesses puts this team smack dab in the middle ground of the NFL pecking order this season.

owl, you should never bet on the stock market. pattern reading OF THE PAST is not effective in predicting the future.
This is FOOTBALL.
i will give you Steelers and 5.

I think New England will be motivated beyond belief. They will STOMP the Steelers. They just had a #1 and a #4 pick taken and nearly had their QB taken and the morons in the NFL front office are threatening to appeal still. The Patriots will KILL them.

edited to add. Q: if the Pats are going to kill them, why are you only giving 5 points. A: Because I still remember rothlischbergers incredible comeback to snatch the victory from Az Cardinals in Super Bowl XIXIXIX. He is a force to be reckoned with.

Vegas seems to think so (NE -7). Also, the defending super bowl champs are 9-2 in these games and one of those losses was when the Ravens had to play Denver on the road because of the issue with the Orioles.

Pittsburgh doesn't have anyone who can cover him. No one does.
