Are they? The only team ahead of them that is close to a 50/50 game on a neutral field is USC. I would give every other team in the top 10 a better than 60% chance of beating ND, at a minimum.

I dunno. ND looks better than at least 4 of the teams ahead of them.

Ikr, too often people just see a number and say a team is not ranked appropriate because it's not a top ten ranking. Look at the teams ahead of them.. The only one I really question is Auburn.. who had a lot of hype to start.

Can only comment on TCU, Baylor, and Oregon since those were the only teams I've seen play above them, but none of them looked impressive. TCU struggled against Minnesota who is average at best. Baylor let a SMU team that won 1 game last year hang around until late in the 3rd Quarter, and then made the score look worse than it was by throwing it with 4 minutes left in the 4th. And Oregon gave up 549 yards to an FCS team replacing their starting QB. Now Texas isn't the best team in the world, but the Notre Dame defensive line was getting to Swopes at will and Zaire had the same amount of touchdowns as incompletions. Not saying that they would beat those three teams but to say that those games wouldn't be at least 50/50 is very disingenuous.

After watching that turd Auburn threw out there in Atlanta, I'd definitely have ND ahead of them.

Also, Michigan State nearly went to the wire with a MAC team. Oregon let an FCS team put up 42 on them.

I'm biased, but I'd have us over top those three, at least.
