The only game they can possibly lose is to Michigan state and that is the 2nd to last game this year. Ohio state is playoff bound shite schedule is a shite schedule. With that said it won't matter if he's overrated they still won't lose.

In all fairness, they have a one-game season.

Beat Michigan State and they're in.

He's got like 11 easy games to get ready for the next big one. Will be fine with that candy arse schedule.

How do easy teams prepare him for the tough ones?

with our 3rd string QB making his 2nd start ever

Last year that played great.

That's over, guy can obviously play regardless of his experience which has only grown in 2 HUGE games.

but but but but

They beat Bama last year!!!

Ohio State could beat anyone in the country. In fact, I'd go as far as saying, they have the ability to blow out any team in the country. Having said that, getting up for games every week takes it toll on a team and I have no doubt they'd slip up playing in the SEC West. Give them Bama's 2015 schedule and I'd bet they'd drop at least two. Look at their team last year: lost to V Tech, needed OT to beat Penn State, slipped by the juggernaut Minnesota, and helpless Michigan gave them hell at home.
Ohio State gets the benefit of being able to lay an egg and still win.

Cardale is what puts OSU over the top in terms of being almost unbeatable IMO. I think he's more special than people think. He has uncanny poise, and he's nearly "untacklable." You can't scheme against his size and physicality, and then he beats you over the top with a cannon for an arm and doesn't make any mistakes. He is, IMO, the difference-maker for OSU.

JT is more of your typical spread qb that you find around the country and he's very good at it... but defenses are scheming around that more and more. There's no scheming around 6'5, 260 or whatever he is.

I would take him as my qb. He is going to bust in the NFL though

He's a tad overrated....can already see he will struggle at times this year w/o having a deep threat.

Lol is this where all the OSU fans who said JT would 100% be the starter come back and try to say Jones didn't deserve to start?

JT was more effective in limited action. He was able to actually run the speed option correctly which would nullify the bear front.

JT Barrett is the better quarterback for our system. 100% in my mind. If we would have been running the speed option like JT ran it the entire game, we would have forced them out of the bear and opened it up for our best player (Zeke).

JT also can consistently beat press, 0 coverage. This isn't a troll at all.

So you're saying Urban Meyer is dumb?

I think he played it safe vs VT. Cardale was able to slough off multiple defenders that shot gaps like VT lives to do that are undersized.

I'm not saying Urban is dumb, but I do think he's wrong that Cardale is the best fit for this offense.

I certainly think it is possible for a great coach to make a bad decision, whether it be because of arrogance or a huge blind spot. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if Urban has flashbacks to his boy Tebow when he sees Cardale's ability to break tackles in the pocket.

Cardale also made some throws and plays last night that JT would not have been able to make. His ability to break tackles and throw all arm make him a better passer. I wasn't overly thrilled with the play calling for CJ. Ohio State could have ran more rub and cluster routes, which is essential for beating a man-to-man defense, but instead Urban and the game kept trying to force Jones into running decisions.
