So does this FTWD kind of toy with the theory of TWD and breaking bad being

Intertwined?
Spoilers below
Being that the first known source is something from the drugs, it kind of backs the theory that they go hand in hand. At least entertains it.
Do you think by the end of this series it will pick up on the walking dead or hit on breaking bad?

No, the cameo meth that merle had was just fun.

So yall have never heard of the theory that breaking bad and the walking dead coexisted?

I had the same thought
There's a couple other things besides the meth cameo, btw

Walt's trademark blue meth can be found in the second-ever episode of The Walking Dead, when Daryl digs through his stash for meds to save the guy that you forgot was actually called T-Dog. It's a pretty obvious reference -- they zoom in pretty close -- but maybe it's a coincidence. I don't do enough meth to know whether the blue stuff is common.

But there's more. You might remember the part in Breaking Bad when Walt gets his son a Dodge Challenger. Later he reassures Skylar that he'll return it.
quote:
Glenn's a common name, though. Could be referring to any Glenn, right? Maybe that Glenn who likes the Tea Party and is funded by Cash4Gold, or that other Glenn who wanted to capture all those puppies and make them into a coat.
I mean, it's not like the Glenn from The Walking Dead was driving the exact same car in the zombie apocalypse.

Maybe the most explicit evidence of the tie between BB and TWD came in the seventh episode of the fourth season, when Daryl tells a story about a strung-out dirtbag he knew once.

Do you know any janky, white, drug-dealing tweakers who are guilty about never seeing their kid and also might be fond of the word "bitch?"

Where did you even get this from?

Look up at what I posted. The very first scene in Fear The Walking Dead is the kid in the drug den. Nobody knows about the virus before then and the first walkers all seem to be junkies (or people around junkies, like the kids dealer)

That doesn't mean the drugs were te source. Its implied the dealer is a recovering addict, yet he turned. Something has happened to cause the virus to be carried but we won't find out what. I think it's more likely that an overdose killed a carrier, who then killed the others in the church, rather than some zombie PCP concoction.

Walt jr & Glenn didn't have the same car.
Paint job is different.
Walt jr has an SRT8 and Glenn has an RT

He could've added the stripe on the side before the ZA went down

Grill emblem too? RT is a down-grade from an SRT8.

I don't think its the drug concoction that caused the outbreak but it is linked to the drugs first. So I was thinking, like you said, that it's how it's getting spread.

It's 2 totally different cars. Besides, Glenn told Rick that he knew the city so well because he was a pizza delivery driver. Not to mention he was too young to be a dealership GM. The blue meth is the only legit nod really. The dealer conversation with Darrell kind of describes Jesse but Jesse didn't have any kids. Also, one in taking place in Georgia and the other is in Arizona.

And that was obviously pre-heisenberg days..captain cook dealer jesse wouldn't have tried to fight merle and daryl, and defiantly wouldn't have pulled a gun.

I don't think you can make any assumptions yet on what specifically started the ZA. Walkers just started showing up.
And even if you wanted to entertain the whole "blue meth started the ZA" theory, just think about it for a second. Walter made some of the best, most pure meth those guys had ever seen. Why would such a quality product cause those kinds of effects?
ETA : I guess you mean more that they just exist in the same world, not that that's what started it.

Albuquerque isn't in Arizona. No possibility of people traveling?

People certainly could travel but Darrell says he's never been out of Georgia and Glenn knows Atlanta because he was a pizza delivery driver. Really kind of weird to put them in New Mexico in the same world as Walter White and Jesse in any capacity.
