Pro Sports
1. Football by a huge margin. Love the Saints and fantasy football gives me an interest in other players/teams. I will happily watch pretty much any NFL playoff game. The NFL leadership can be irritating, but I am hooked.
--Big Gap--
2. MLB - Nationals. 2-4 are kind of a jumble. I really like the Nationals and enjoy going to MLB games, but I find MLB boring on tv. I really lose interest by the end of the season when football starts and I hardly even watch the World Series anymore if it isn't a team I am interested in.
3-4 (tie): NBA and NHL. I like the Pels and usually watch some of the NBA playoffs. I find the end of games annoying when one team is significantly behind and they intentionally foul. For NHL I very casually follow the Predators and Caps. I don't watch much on TV b/c there is not a ton available, but the games are a lot of fun to attend. If I lived in a city w/ an NHL team I could easily see NHL taking the #3 spot alone and possibly even rising to #2. It is a fast paced game.
--Another big gap--
5. MLS-I don't have a team and the few times I have tried to watch I have found it boring. Maybe when Atlanta gets a team I will have some slight interest. I really enjoy the World Cup, so it is possible my fandom might grow.

1. Baseball- will always be my #1. MLB, Zephyrs, and college.
2. Football- Saints and LSU. 'nuff said.
3. Basketball- this one is dropping. I've just about quit watching college basketball, and the only NBA I watch regularly is Pelicans games.
4. Hockey- this one is rising. Quit watching/caring a few times after the strikes, but I always come back. The Stanley Cup Playoffs are the BEST and MOST-EXCITING playoffs in ALL pro sports.
5. Soccer- hate MLS, won't watch it. Will be boycotting the next 2 World Cups due to FIFA corruption. Could care less about the US national team. I do like to watch the Premier League matches, as well as the Champions League and some Bundesliga.

1. Football - the NFL has really plummeted in my mind in recent years, but this sport will always be my favorite. College has taken a hit over the years with every game being on television, not because it's not great to watch those games at home, but because all of those commercial breaks really slow down the game. Going to games at small colleges and high schools has really made me miss the simpler times before most college games were televised. The game just takes on a special "rhythm" that has been lost.
2. Baseball - I was practically raised in Alex Box Stadium
3. Basketball - The NBA is overexposed and plays too many games, but college is near perfect. I would like to see the collegiate game move to restricting the number of timeouts in the last 2 minutes of the game, however
4. Hockey - I have no team to root for here, but damn if this sport isn't entertaining. I wish the NHL would move to the Olympic model of no commercial breaks. Man, this is one cool sport.
5. Soccer - I love the nationalism aspect of it, the stadiums, and the passion of the fans. However, this sport can be super boring to watch on TV. The only sport that comes close to this level of snooze-fest is major league baseball.

1. Football - grew up in Southern California, SC Trojans fan and LA Rams fan prior to their move to STL.
2. Soccer - No interest until I lived in Spain, and married a Brit. Derby County in the ECL and USMNT for me.
3. Hockey - Went to LA Kings games as a kid and loved it. This was in the era of Marcel Dionne, Charlie Simmer and Dave Taylor. Way before Gretz.
4. Baseball - Went to my first Angels game age 4. Love the Halos. Also went to Dodger games, but other than the nice view from Chavez Ravine, the Dodger Dogs and Vin Scully, not a fan.
5. Basketball - ucla was the dominant college program in my formative years, and I detest ucla. I did root for the Lakers though, and still do, despite their suckage.
