84 is not better than 94
You may be having some nolatagic stuff going on. . But 94 has some really great movies and then some serious quantity to go with quality
Was Leon the Professional mentioned in the list? I skimmed over it

1939 is widely considered the greatest year in cinema history.
Gone With the Wind
Wizard of Oz
mr Smith goes to Washington
Stagecoach
It was a famously deep year of quality film

Batman Forever made $335 on a $100m budget
Ace Ventura sequel made $212m on a $30m budget
Cable Guy made $102m on a $47m budget
Liar Liar made $302m on a $45m budget
Truman Show made $264m on a $60m budget and should've gotten him an Oscar nod
Man On The Moon was the first movie to lose money, but Jim gave an excellent performance. Made $47m on a $74m budget
Me, Myself & Irene made $150m on a $51m budget.
Grinch made $345m on a $145 budget
Majestic was a dud, made $37m on a $72m budget
Bruce Almighty made $484m on a $81m budget
Eternal Sunshine made $74m on a $20m budget
Lemony Snicket made $204m on a $104 budget

I've seen it. Many times. It's not a terrible movie, but I felt like Jim was trying too hard to get attention he should've gotten for Truman Show. It makes the TBS rounds pretty often.

Yall don't understand. There are plenty of years that had better movies. There are few years that as good of a resume top to bottom. 94 is GOAT.

That's probably the best group nominees I can think of.
Possibly, for nominees. But 1995 was a sick year too (though not all of the best movies were nominated for BP) - Braveheart, Apollo 13, The Usual Suspects, Heat, Toy Story, Se7en, Casino, Leaving Las Vegas, etc.
