So, are we all just going to ignore Universal Soldier?

ID4
I've actually never see TDAT, and it looks like I never will.

To be fair, I've loved ID4 since I saw it in theaters 20 years ago. And it's a perfect summer blockbuster type of movie. There's all kinds of awesome shite in it. Sure, there are some stupid parts, but that's to be expected and it's something you can say about most movies anyway.
If you weren't even the least bit entertained by Independence Day and can't find anything to like about it, then there's something wrong with you IMO.

man I forgot he directed this one. One of my favorite movies
It really kills me when people say this about The Patriot.
I think its worse than TDAT which is a piece of shite.
I absolutely loathe The Patriot. Its one of the worst movies I have ever seen. I can't tell you how much I hate it.

well... except you can if you get inside
But you could also escape the freeze if you were Dennis Quaid and you had to walk from DC to NY.

I shouldn't have to find things to like about it. It's an insult to human intelligence and its latent favor might be a sign of the Idiocracy.

The one thing I liked about it was people cheering in the theatre when the First Lady died because, you know...

The Patriot is his best movie for me, because as you said, it's fricking hilarious. Every scene has something unintentionally hilarious in it, like burning the church, all of the good guys from South fricking Carolina not owning slaves, and then one guy saying he's proud to fight beside a black guy?
Sorry, but it's a very funny to me. TDAT is mostly infuriating save for a few ridiculously horrible scenes, and 10,000 BC has nothing remotely enjoyable about it. At least Jason Issacs is memorable in it.

It's a very entertaining movie...and that's the whole purpose of movies.

I'd somewhat buy that about 2012 but half of The Day after Tomorrow is some teenagers sitting in a library.

So you think quite literally running from global warming qualifies as actual entertainment. Yes it's a redeeming feature from my point of view, but it is entirely at the expense at the people who legitimately find this stuff entertaining.
