Just admit it. You didn't follow LSU that year

i would agree with TM being the best defensive player I have seen in P&G. Landry is not the greatest WR ever. I'd go Josh Reed, Clayton, OBJ, Eric Martin, Devery Henderson, and Wendell Davis before JL. That's a pretty legit group of collegiate stars.

if we are talking just LSU, Landry was the much better and more reliable receiver.

I can't think of a player that deserves it more. Dude was an awesome Tiger.

Reed>Landry
Clayton>Landry
OBJ=Landry
Henderson don't mention in the same breath as landry
Davis=Landry

agree with this except OBJ=Landry. Landry was better at LSU. Not as a pro or return man but as a reciever, Landry was hands down better. Better hands, more reliable and came up big in bigger games. Really not even a doubt to me

Landry and Beckham Jr. were by far the best WR duet to dress in royal purple and old gold

Tyrann Mathieu was the (single-season) most prolific player to dress in royal purple and old gold

This year is the most weapons across the board on the Dolphins offense I can remember in a long time, yet many are predicting Jarvis breaks OJ McDuffie's single season reception record. That goes to show you how reliable he is and how much Ryan Tannehill trusts him.

He's going to catch a shite ton of balls this year.

Canon, I also think Charles Alexander and Jerry Stovall both finished 2nd. I don't remember TM7 finishing that high. I thougt he was more like 4th or 5th.

You guys are way off. Reed and Landry are practically clones physically. If you replaced Reed with Landry on that team he would have lit it up too with Davey throwing. Landry = Reed

Saying Clayton is greater than Landry is disturbing. Clayton was nasty and impressed me more with his blocking and tackling than he did as a receiver. Landry has a nasty streak too but more natural playing receiver and all of his stats in college and pros far exceed Clayton. Landry > Clayton.

They are pretty stacked in young WR talent.

Stills as a deep threat should complement him nicely

Reed was a lot more explosive. He could jump out of the roof

Josh Reed was incredibly quick and had a 37 inch vertical. Jarvis Landry 28.5 (31.5 at pro day)

The game benefits the offense a lot more now. Reed averaged 18 ypc in 2001. That's unreal for the amount of catches he had

You can't say he's exceeded him as a pro yet.

Clayton had an incredible rookie year that blows Landry's out the water. Alcohol was his downfall

And his college stats didn't far exceed his either. You could have easily checked them before yacking out that BS

Wasn't Landry the "go to" receiver for Miami last year? He led the team with 84 catches, 17 more than anyone else, despite only starting 11 games. He had a 105reception pace over the last 9 weeks of the season.

I would say that Mike Wallace was the go-to guy, especially from a big-picture gameplanning perspective. But you are right that Landry pretty much eclipsed the other guys like Hartline as more of a go-to guy to move the chains as the season wore on. Wallace just never really worked out for them the way they expected, and they kept trying to force it.

Jarvis may be a stretch but it would be hard to find a player that was more productive than TM7. He hold several turnover records and he only played 2 seasons

And yet LSU never won anything in those years with that much talent.
